Texas approves border security surge! (UPDATE)

With Obama's rampant disregard for the sovereignty of our land and the rule of law whenever that falls outside his personal agenda, states are being forced to address the illegal invasion on our southern border. While Arizona Republican Rep. Dave Schweikert introduces a bill to send thousands of National Guard troops to his state's border, Texas is taking action now and has approved a border security surge!
Breitbart: Texas Governor Rick Perry, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, and Speaker Joe Straus today directed the Texas Dept. of Public Safety (DPS) to immediately begin law enforcement surge operations on the Texas/Mexico border. The DPS will attempt to combat the flood of illegal immigration into the state in the absence of adequate federal resources to secure the border. State leaders have authorized approximately $1.3 million per week to fund border security operations.
YES! Enough with the waiting around. While this President acts illegitimately, picking and choosing which laws he wants to follow and which ones he wants to ignore, it falls to the states to do something about the security our sovereignty.

UPDATE: If the only way for Texas to stop the flood of illegals is to turn them back at the border, then why does the plan also involve turning illegals over to the Feds for processing?
TusconSentinel: A day after state leaders announced a directive to the Texas Department of Public Safety to increase its efforts along the border with Mexico, the agency discussed its new mission, saying it would not include enforcing immigration laws, as it lacks that authority.

During the current operation, the DPS will instead partner with local and federal authorities on a round-the-clock basis to “deter and disrupt drug and human trafficking, and other border-related crimes.”

“When our state law enforcement officers make contact with someone [during a lawful encounter] who is admittedly or suspected to be in the country illegally, that individual is immediately referred to the appropriate federal authorities,” DPS spokesman Tom Vinger said in an email.

Asked when a trooper might suspect someone is in the country illegally, Vinger added, “It is based on reasonable suspicion encompassing the totality of the lawful encounter. Whether someone is in the country illegally will be determined by the appropriate federal authorities, not DPS. Racial profiling is illegal and prohibited by DPS policy.”
Is this serious or just for show? Just turn them back, and no need for processing!
