Obama to Iraq: solve your own problems; Iran to Iraq: we'll help

After the Iraqi government BEGS for US airstrikes against advancing terrorist forces, we see two troubling responses...

Obama to Iraq (via FoxNews email):

“President Obama tells Iraq’s leaders to ‘solve their problems,’ but says he is reviewing possible military response to Al Qaeda-aligned militants overrunning cities and moving toward Baghdad.”

Iran to Iraq:

CNN: Emboldened militants, backed by Sunni tribal leaders, pushed toward Baghdad on Friday as Iran sent troops to fight alongside government forces. In Washington, increasingly nervous U.S. officials mulled their limited options to help slow the militants' advance.

In recent days, Iran has sent about 500 Revolutionary Guard troops to fight alongside Iraqi government security forces in Diyala province, a senior security official in Baghdad told CNN.

Meanwhile, Sunni tribal leaders have lined up behind radical Islamists from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, making their push toward Baghdad easier, a Saudi intelligence official told CNN's Nic Robertson.

As Iraq further disintegrated, residents fled Mosul in droves. Militants captured the country's second-largest city this week after soldiers scattered, leaving their uniforms and weapons behind. The spreading violence prompted U.S. President Barack Obama to say the beleaguered government required assistance, but he warned Friday that it would take "several days" for the U.S. to react.

So much for those democracy movements, huh Barry?

Anybody see the problem here? 'Several days' will provide enough time for Islamists to seize Iraq. There's also another potential problem with Iran's entry. After the Iran-Iraq seven year war, the Cold War endeavors, Saddam and Ahmadinejad, all of that, Obama's providing the opening for Iran to stroll right in. Either way you look at it, this territorial struggle inches the region that much closer towards an Islamic Caliphate, which is the last thing the world needs.

I would say this is simply Obama's anti-colonialist views learned from his father that won't permit him to send in help, but that really doesn't explain his promotion of revolution in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere, or intervention in Afghanistan/Pakistan and Libya. Or perhaps it does...take out leaders, pave the way for radicals. Perhaps the reluctance towards Syria best exemplifies the latest happenings. Well, that and the fact that Obama hates Bush and Republicans, or America and Israel for that matter, so much so that he'd rather see the worse come to fruition in the Middle East. I'm sure his warped foresight tells him that'd be a good thing.

In the meantime, mass slaughter ensues...

ADDENDUM: But don't you worry. Our guy Barry is...wait, where's he at?

TheRightRant: As a back-bencher senator, Obama voted "present" more than he voted yay or nay. Of the 100 most powerful men in the US, shouldn't we expect more from them?

Now as President, he continues to vote "absent".....as the world burns, Obama takes another golf vacation......

• Iraq is about to fall into civil war as the terrorist group ISIS(Islamic State in Iraq and Syria), establishing a caliphate while in possession of massive amounts of high-tech military weaponry left by US troops, marches toward Baghdad.
• At Obama's invitation, tens of thousands of diseased and/or pregnant alien children flood the US southern border, establishing a serious humanitarian/refugee crisis that will overwhelm our system.
• New revelations about the VA scandal come out every day and no heads have rolled.....except those of veterans who died waiting to be seen.
• If Iraq descends into chaos, a nuclear armed Iran will surely involve itself.

But Obama cannot be bothered with all this. He's got California moonbats to hit up for campaign cash for the mid-terms and his golf swing could certainly use re-tooling.
