Can someone cue Rand in on Obama's role in Mid-East turmoil?

I don't like war, and our foreign policy is in much need of a decisive overhaul, but...seriously, Rand?
NBCNews: Sen. Rand Paul says he doesn’t blame President Barack Obama for the ongoing turmoil in Iraq and that former Vice President Dick Cheney and other proponents of the Iraq War should ask themselves the same questions Cheney is raising now about the conflict.

“What’s going on now — I don’t blame on President Obama,” Paul said in an interview with NBC’s David Gregory to air on “Meet the Press” Sunday. “Has he really got the solution? Maybe there is no solution. But I do blame the Iraq War on the chaos that is in the Middle East.”

In an op-ed [last] week authored with his daughter Liz, Cheney wrote of Obama that “rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many.”

Paul, a possible 2016 presidential candidate known for his breaks with Republican defense hawks on foreign policy, said that Cheney’s criticism of the president’s strategy should also be questioned. Cheney is widely credited as a key architect of the 2003 war.
If you don't blame the Iraq War on Middle East chaos, then why are you blaming Cheney? I get that Mid-East chaos has been brewing for decades upon decades, beyond Obama and even Bush. But you can't ignore the trigger that was set off by the current administration. Newsflash, Rand...Obama had a little something to do with the ensuing turmoil...

Sovereign, stable and self-reliant? Uhh, not so much, Mr. President...

You want to blame Bush and Cheney for something? Blame them, along with RINOs and Democrats en masse, for allowing the hands of the military to be tied and disabling their ability to wage, WIN and end an effective war effort. But let's not pretend that Obama's hands are clean. And take off the rose-colored isolationist glasses while you're at it. We don't have to be involved in every corner of the world, but it is better to take it there than here.
