Behind the HCQ clampdown and the partisan death grip that must end (UPDATES!)

I mentioned this in the prior post, but it deserves expansion because of the direct tie to Big Media/Tech and their partisan persuasions that are costing far too many...

I've long tired of the anti-hydroxychloroquine propaganda and pseudo-science spewed from an unfree press. And I don't particularly care to hear anymore about hospital beds, ventilators or even death counts rattled off daily, not when there's a safe way to treat patients (many in their own homes) with HCQ combos and good ol' OXYGEN. When Big Media starts sounding like an echo chamber, with Big Tech's assist towards one-sided censorship, tamping down hope at every turn, you know there's a narrative being pushed, and this one has been a detrimental denial with political fingerprints all over it...
On March 19, at a White House briefing, President Trump “touted” chloroquine (hydroxychloroquine is chloroquine metabolite) for possible use against COVID-19. The very next day, a media operation was launched to deny this treatment to the public. Several fake news outlets published articles, saying things like this (NYT, March 20):
Trump’s Embrace of Unproven Drugs to Treat Coronavirus Defies Science

Doctors and patients also worry that the president’s rosy outlook for the treatments will exacerbate shortages of old malaria drugs relied on by patients with lupus and other debilitating conditions.
Referring to this as a "media operation" is appropriate because multiple outlets repeated the same false talking points. At that time
  • The use of hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19 already had scientific support, although not to the level required for FDA approval of a new drug; but HCQ was already approved.
  • The fact that hospitals had already been increasing their supply of HCQ and CQ before President’s briefing was an additional indication that medical professionals believed in the drugs’ usefulness against COVID-19.
  • There were no shortages of HCQ or CQ for lupus & RA patients at that time.
  • Multiple pharma companies announced an increase in HCQ manufacturing and substantial donations of HCQ.
  • Even without these increases, the HCQ amounts required for COVID-19 patients were too small to impact the supply for other users.
This false alarm had all the behavioral characteristics of the Democrat-Socialist operatives: pitting groups of citizens against each other, sowing fear and division, and hoping that the conflict would damage President Trump. In this case, they incited lupus and rheumatoid arthritis patients against current and future COVID-19 victims. Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Microsoft support the fake new media financially, send web traffic to them, and endorse them to some extent. Amplified by Big Tech, the announcement of HCQ shortage caused a vicious spiral: panic buying by lupus patients, which led to actual shortages, which amplified the panic buying and so on. Then the blame was directed at COVID-19 patients and their physicians prescribing HCQ for them.
So pardon me if I'd rather hear from someone dealing with this illness in realtime. And at least one brave doctor in Texas has been speaking truth to power every weekend about the real patients she's successfully treating that's not requiring a complete shutdown of life or common sense to do so!

Over the past two weekends:
This Doctor, Ivette. C Lozano, shares her experience with Covid-19, and she is upset at what is happening in our nation.

(Apologies, YouTube censored this second rally for some unknown reason)

Seems like this might be the time for another executive order, Mr. President. The People can't wait on Fauci, Big Pharma, government's bureaucratic roadblocks or Big Media/Tech false flags. This partisan death grip must be loosened and released while this treatment can help NOW, please.

UPDATE: FAKED! Shocker...NOT.

How many more lives did these lies cost? Because it certainly did if this vital and readily-available medication was withheld from anyone needing it. There needs to be some accountability held here.

Censorship and election meddling: if Big Tech acts like a partisan publisher, no more protection as a neutral public platform!

This is undoubtedly what's behind social media giants Google, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter censoring conservative content they deem "violates our user agreements" on the shear basis of political disagreement, while continuing to allow liberal discrediting of said conservative positions as they're being segregated and silenced in realtime! Questionable, indeterminate occurrences should have open dialogue with opposing viewpoints up for discussion and debate. Nope, that's not the liberal way. Instead, there is an obvious prejudice being practiced by hypocritical Big Tech alongside the rest of the Democratic-leaning MSM, who stymie the very democracy they claim to celebrate.
Of course, these social media titans distanced themselves from their press compadres in the early days, but as they surpassed the popularity of the published papers, their biases have trended left and really ramped up, particularly in these Trump years, with an absurd level of hypocrisy. Just check out this supposed analogy...
The social media giants are stuck in a vise as both Democrats and the Trump campaign look for an edge by accusing the platforms of favoring the other side.

On one side are Democrats, who are demanding that Facebook and Twitter censor President Trump and his campaign. ...

On the other end are Trump and Republicans, who have long held that conservative voices are being suppressed by Silicon Valley liberals reacting to elite media outrage at the president and his supporters.
That all sounds like a singular agenda! There's no vise; only a one-sided approach: Dems censoring, and Repubs calling them out for censoring! But somehow we're supposed to see that as two differing points of view. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see through that ridiculousness...just a little bit of common sense.
But let's fast forward to this election year and just take the latest controversies swirling about: the media assault and bureacratic clampdown on hydroxychloroquine's success, the Tech/Media censorship of an investigative documentary that calls into question Big Gov plans surrounding the pandemic, the MSM silencing of Obamagate's silent coup against President Trump, and now media's latest acceptance of voter fraud through ballot harvesting via vote-by-mail efforts (be sure to check out Kayleigh's THREAD, it's extensive!)...

These all contribute to Big Tech's obvious double-standard:

By Thursday morning, President Trump was DONE with the social media undermining of any and all conservative opinions expressed (or any semblance of law and order...of, by and for the People, mind you!), submitting a general disclaimer of his own to the conglomerates...
Acting on a suggestion that was offered up at least a year ago, President Trump signed an executive order stripping these tech entities of their immunity under section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, as they're clearly acting like partisan publishers, instead of neutral public platforms, thus participating in flagrant election meddling. BRAVO!
The very public forums these social media giants provide cannot be solely utilized as another partisan tool for one political party. The true fraud and abuse being promoted by one side, while silencing the other, would be catastrophic to our great republic, let alone our free speech rights.

Their last full measure of devotion...

"It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us—that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion—that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain... ~ Abraham Lincoln, Gettysburg Address
Memorial Day is a time to remember and honor those who served and sacrificed their lives for our freedoms and liberties in this great nation, providing what Lincoln called "Their last full measure of devotion."
Memorial Day is a time to remember the fallen heroes throughout our nation’s history “who gave the last full measure of devotion” so that we can live free.

So this Memorial Day, May 25, 2020—when Americans throughout our country are told by state governments that they are not free to travel, worship in their churches, visit family members, assemble or commemorate Memorial Day by planting a flag on a fallen warriors gravestone—may we highly resolve that our noble dead did not die in vain.

Recall the famous words of Benjamin Franklin:
“Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
Freedom is never free. The price for our freedoms was paid for by the men and women we honor this Memorial Day. So, I encourage you and your family on this Memorial Day to take a moment to prayerfully remember those who made that ultimate sacrifice.

We salute all those who've paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom and liberties on this hallowed day.

It is the soldier, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer
who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the soldier, who salutes the flag,
who serves under the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag.

Levin's exposure of a silent coup bears out (ADDENDUMS)

Truth Will Out...?

Even through all that we've endured over the past few months with the nation's focus turned towards the current epidemic, the wheels of justice hopefully keep squeaking along. And though extremely sluggish at times, it bears mentioning that at least one constitutionalist has been sounding the alarm for years now that something simply didn't pass the smell test. The something that has been referred to as a conspiracy among the punditry is no longer just a theory or hunch, but is absolutely what occurred within the cabal of leftover bureaucrats from the previous administration seeking to take down a duly elected president from the moment he was elected, of which included the previous predecessor himself, and driven by a leftist, scandal-laden press that seeks out anything but the truth (just as they continue even now).

The floodgates began to open last week with justice finally arriving for Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, and notice of a historic broadcast that began to bear out the truth about the silent coup against President Trump...

The deluge continued on Friday's usual news dump (when the general public is least attentive) and into the weekend..

...among which included THIS, what most of us suspected all along!
BOOM! Spread the word, 'cause the MSM ain't gonna...this silent coup of the previous administration's making has been EXPOSED!

ADDENDUM: Mark continued hammering away today...
...there's more here HERE!

ADDENDUM II: And on Wednesday, more declassification shows more of Obama's Dems at the source, downplayed by the MSM of course...

ADDENDUM III: By the end of this week, I thoroughly have to agree with Levin...
“They ought to take a wing in Leavenworth and put all these guys in there”
...as well as with the sentiments of the following!
ADDENDUM IV: And by the time we get to another week, typical...the double-standard continues to be allowed...
President Trump said Monday that he was “surprised” by Attorney General William Barr’s statement that he doesn’t anticipate a criminal investigation into former President Obama or former Vice President Joe Biden.

“I think if it was me, they would do it. I think for them, maybe they’re not going to,” Trump told reporters Monday afternoon when asked about the attorney general's comments. “I’m surprised because Obama knew everything that was happening.”

“I think it’s just a continuation of a double standard. I am surprised by it,” the president continued.

Barr earlier Monday said he didn’t expect U.S. attorney John Durham’s probe into the FBI’s decisionmaking in the Russia investigation to lead to criminal investigations of either Obama or Biden.

“Based on the information I have today, I don’t expect Mr. Durham’s work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man,” Barr told reporters. “Our concern over potential criminality is focused on others.” ...

Trump later Monday said he wasn’t necessarily disappointed by Barr’s comments but reiterated that he believed the former president's and vice president's actions in connection to the Russia investigation were “illegal.”
While it sounds like Barr is not done, there will be more probing, someone(s) will be held accountable in some respect, it's unlikely the accountability will reach the cabal responsible for this travesty against President Trump or for the American public who were dragged through this whole damaging mess. Obama and Biden get passes, you know, because they're Democratic untouchables propped up by their lapdog media sycophants. The more things change, the more they stay the same...

From Covid-era ads and isolation to reemergence welcoming reality

Make'em STOP! After weeks and weeks of inundation, then seeing this video and sharing with several friends, thought it worth sharing here to perhaps lead to larger conversations. But first, ENOUGH of the cheesy Covid-era ads already. They're all the SAME, quite literally...

They're mind-numbing sap at this point, and maybe a little dangerous...
A new kind of television advertisement has crept into our collective consciousness here in the age of virus. In an effort to show that they care, and you know, sell stuff, major corporations are inundating the airwaves with saccharine-sweet, super-sincere TV spots that are not a little bit dystopian. Indeed, the virus, it seems, is inescapable even when we cut to a few words from our sponsors.

You’ve all seen them. They include phrases like, “In this time, more than any other,” or “As we all rise to the challenge,” or “Stay safe, stay home.” The last one is particularly infuriating. I mean, I am home! I’m watching freakin television! Where do you think I am, a sports bar? I’m just trying to tune out watching “Friends” over here.

In a Dunkin Donuts ad, employees in one store are making masks. An AT&T ad like dozens of others is a for-profit celebration of frontline responders. There is ad after ad after ad of cozy indoor shots of parents teaching kids, people cooking, virtual happy hours, all of it. And they aren’t even honest. A lot of families are at each other’s throats. ...

It is honestly enough to make me long lovingly for the days of “Mike Bloomberg for president” ads that were more prevalent than grains of sand on the beach. ... But annoying as they were, those ads weren’t as cloying and Orwellian as the 30-second spots reinforcing lockdown orders while selling products.

We all know already about the shutdown. It’s not a public service to constantly remind us that we have barely left our houses for two months. One of the big reasons people watch TV is to escape this weird reality for a few hours, to settle into the world as it was, not as it is. But the next thing you know it’s back to hospital rooms and facemasks on the screen, stirring music swelling beneath. Just stop.

You know what I want from TV ads right now? I want pretty people with good, strong teeth pushing products that can dramatically improve my life. I want jokes, and celebrity cameos, contests and yelling. I want some affirmation that someday life will be back to normal, not constant reminders of the current drudgery.

A great danger in a long-term slow-motion crisis is that a narrative can start to set in across the culture. Increasingly. that is reinforcing a victim narrative. After all, there is little some Americans crave more than the mantle of victimhood. It is a message of powerlessness in which all we can do is heat up a can of baked beans and wait for the dictatorship of expertise to give us the all-clear.

Television ads play an outsized role in crafting that narrative. This is in part because TV viewership among Americans is so fragmented that we don’t watch the same news, or the same shows, but we do watch the same ads. It is one of the few forms of television that can still saturate society. Please saturate it with something other than shilling while putting on a coronavirus pageant.

There is a danger of wallowing. Yes, our lives have temporarily changed, but no, coronavirus need not be at the center of our every waking moment. In fact, if we let it be, we will all slowly go insane. So please, big companies and advertisers, just cut us a break. Let us think about something else.
We'll buy your products and services, just end these ridiculously templated ads that keep us stuck in this negative narrative of constant fear. And at their rate of repetition, they're as annoying as those non-stop campaign ads during an election ye...oh, wait a minute...wouldn't too many of our would-be authoritarians across the land savor it all the way to November?

Campaigns aside for the moment, here's where we get into the larger context of politics and society coming out of this performance of sorts, that just like those ads, has to STOP. Instead of acting out some societal role permeating throughout politics and a paid-for press, perhaps allowing the facts to dictate decisions might provide a better outcome for a free society? Just a sober thought...
When the lockdown started we knew why we were doing it. The major fear was that hospitals would be overrun by a deluge of coronavirus cases. That didn’t happen, not even close. But instead of calling the emergency measures a success and moving quickly and aggressively to reopen the economy and restart basic American life, we moved the goalposts to an unreachable endzone of impossible testing levels or a vaccine over a year away. Now we are settling in to perform this new reality for God knows how long.

There seem to be some who think it is too dangerous to return to our normal lives until we invent a time machine so we can go back and fix any mistakes we make in reopening. That’s not how life works, there will be mistakes, and many will be costly. But we have to make judgments based on how things actually are, not based on a pantomime we have now learned to play by rote.

Across the United States this week millions of Americans will see stay at home orders and other pandemic restrictions relaxed. They will face a choice, whether to return to restaurants, beaches, and movie theaters, or to continue their isolation, still waiting for some all clear to be signaled. It is very important that people make this decision by weighing facts; not by playing the part they think society is telling them to play.

Not all of us have to be locked in the basement. In fact, the vast majority of us do not need to be locked in the basement. Just because it creates the optics...doesn’t mean that the period of strict isolation is not ending. It is ending and we should be grateful for that. Getting back out in the world in responsible and safe ways, supporting your friends and neighbors’ small businesses and jobs doesn’t make you a bad person. Being part of the reopening of America is something we all must do eventually.

One of the hardest things to do in life is to rule our ideas and not be ruled by them. This is especially true when because of politics, tribalism, or fear, we become more invested in having been right than in doing the right thing. For well over a month now Americans have performed admirably, played the role of obedient citizens, now it’s time for a new scene.

As the option to engage again in society emerges this week, let Americans weigh it carefully, but not be locked into the mindset of the past two months. Now is the time to learn and to deliver a new line, one that will take us out of this miasma and into the future. Stop performing the coronavirus and start living the reality of the world beyond it that we have begun to enter.
A couple of lines from the season three finale of West World keep sticking with me, both from Dolores...
“There is ugliness in this world. Disarray. I choose to see the beauty.” ...

"Free will does exist... It’s just f*cking hard.”
See the beauty, the positives from what we know, but also how we reemerge, practicing free will responsibly (as it should be). We can continue cautiously optimistic, but let us not choose a lesser, dystopian path for notions of security at the expense of our liberty. Let us get on with life, beautiful life.
