Obama's anti-Semitic campaign against Israel and Netanyahu couldn't be more clear

"President Obama cannot claim to stand by our allies in Israel if his campaign operatives are actively campaigning against them." ~ Sen. Ted Cruz
Even though this began breaking a few days ago, the hypocrisy can't be overlooked. No more so than the further acknowledgement of how America has foolishly installed into its highest office of the land a true coddler of our enemies and a despiser of our allies.

So much for not wanting to meet with Netanyahu because he didn't want to affect the outcome of the Israeli elections (we all knew that was a crock from the beginning!)...
Breitbart: Just days after the Obama White House accused House Speaker John Boehner of “breaking protocol” by inviting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress, a team of up to five Obama campaign operatives has reportedly arrived in Israel to lead a campaign to defeat the Israeli Prime Minister in upcoming national elections scheduled for March 17.

The anti-Netanyahu, left wing Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports a group called “One Voice,” reportedly funded by American donors, is paying for the Obama campaign team. That group is reportedly being led by Obama’s 2012 field director Jeremy Bird.

As Jerusalem Post columnist and putative Knesset candidate Caroline Glick reported on her Facebook page, “Obama won’t meet Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington when he addresses the Joint Houses of Congress in March because of Netanyahu’s visit’s proximity to the Israeli elections. And Obama, of course believes in protocol and propriety which is why he won’t get involved.” And yet, Glick adds, “He’s just sending his 2012 field campaign manager to Israel to run a campaign to defeat Netanyahu.”

Levin has also addressed this over the past week:

Related link: Mark Levin: Democrats announced that they will not back sanctions on Iran...

As have others...

Sen. Ted Cruz also responded this week to the news with a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry wondering if, in fact, U.S. taxpayer dollars are being used to undermine Israel’s election. Then ventured further into Obama's toxicity with an op-ed via Breitbart:
The Obama Administration’s actions towards Israel become more intolerable each day, carrying with their insults deeply damaging national security implications for our country.

Earlier this week, Americans opened the newspapers to discover that the Obama campaign team has deployed operatives, including 2012 Field Director Jeremy Bird, to Tel Aviv to try to unseat Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu through an organization that receives taxpayer grants from the U.S. Department of State.

This follows a long string of hostile behavior that has only escalated with time.

In The Atlantic, “unnamed senior administration officials” have called Mr. Netanyahu a “chicken****” and bragged that it was now “too late” for him to take action to prevent Iran from gaining nuclear weapons capability.

Last week, more anonymous sources vented to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz that “Netanyahu spat in our face,” and vowing “there will be a price” for the Prime Minister’s accepting House Speaker John Boehner’s invitation to come address Congress on the subject of Iran’s nuclear program.

An Obama campaign foreign policy advisor, Daniel Kurtzer, suggested to the New York Times that the Israeli ambassador to the United States, Ron Dermer, should be “reprimanded or removed” for passing along the speaking invitation from Speaker Boehner.

And, let us not forget how eager the Obama Administration was to impose an unprecedented flight ban against Israel last year during its military operation against Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

At the time, I asked the simple question whether the Obama Administration was using the Federal Aviation Authority to launch an economic boycott against Israel. After their actions were questioned, they quickly lifted the ban.

Now, it is time for another simple question:
Has President Obama launched a political campaign against Prime Minister Netanyahu and his allies?
I think the evidence points to an unequivocal YES.

And if you think this political campaign ends with only Netanyahu, and not the entirety of the Jewish State, Israel, our ALLY, you're blindly mistaken...

More cowardice and lies from the same ol' GOPers

Did Republican voters really expect anything different? Really? Two stories, same author, same publication, same premise...same disgust.

From all indications and in under a month, it looks like the current congressional GOP, even though they've gained power in both houses and promised better days when they officially took control of the 114th Congress, still seeks to achieve success through prior means: cowardice.
RedState: ...As literally anyone could have predicted (and as we predicted here numerous times), the Congressional GOP has already signaled its intent to pre-emptively fold on Obama’s executive amnesty, even though they swore up and down they were going to fight this thing tooth and nail once they had control of Congress. The GOP’s cowardly capitulation on a popular abortion bill on the eve of the March for Life has also been well documented. And that is to say nothing of Sen. John Hoeven (R-ND)‘s embarrassing own goal on climate change with respect to the Keystone Pipeline bill.

We’re about two minutes into the new Congress and already the tactics of GOP leadership are clear: keep their heads down. Avoid any controversial votes. Throw some red meat to the base without risking any votes that could actually put them on the record or stop Obama from accomplishing everything he wants to accomplish. Pull any controversial votes that look like they might pass. Let Obama take the blame for a bunch of stuff that they frankly want to happen anyway.

All this having been accomplished, they will then come back to us in 2016, shrug their shoulders, put on their best “aw, shucks” grin and say, “Well, not a lot we could have done with that crazy Obama in the White House, now give us some more money and send us some more Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC)es back to Congress!”

The Republicans in Congress think they can grow their majority – just for the sake of having a bigger one, not for the sake of doing anything with it, mind you – by being afraid and by trying to foster that fear among the base. What they clearly don’t do, or at least don’t do enough, is fear the voters they need to have any chance of winning. They are, by temperament, cowards. And the only way you can succeed with a coward is to make him more afraid of you than the other guy.
So just in case you still don't get it in terms of what all this means, let me be clear: We've once again been LIED TO by congressional Republicans. This time about what's gonna be done about Obama's unconstitutional executive amnesty...obviously, nothing but theater.
RedState: So back at the end of 2014, a lot of people pooh poohed the idea that the fight over executive amnesty would have to happen then or not at all. Many so-called “reasonable Republicans” insisted that this was the wrong time to hold the GOP’s feet to the fire. “Wait until next year,” they said. “Wait until the GOP actually has control of both chambers. Then, you see, they will do something.” And indeed that is exactly what McConnell and Boehner promised. By punting the funding question for the entire government down the road until September, they swore up and down that they were going to stand and fight come February when it came time to fund DHS.

In the least surprising development in all of human history, February is now around the corner, and Boehner and McConnell are folding like cheap suits...

Just in case you were keeping score, none of what is described here does anything to defund DHS. A lawsuit will likely have little or no effect and will take years to come to fruition. Any new border bill that is any way tough will be vetoed by Obama, even if we suppose that McConnell can find 5 Democrat votes to get it past Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV). Defunding DHS – their promised solution – has been completely taken off the table...

Make no mistake, however: this is exactly what Boehner and McConnell wanted all along. They wanted Obama to take the heat with the conservative base for a policy that they actually support. So they are mounting at every step of the way what has been obviously fake and token opposition to Obama’s plan. And at the end of the day they are going to throw up their hands and say “Aw, shucks, nothing we could have done here, Obama held all the cards!”

This exact scenario that we are seeing unfold was what was predicted here at RedState and in other places all along. And no Republican voter should be deceived into thinking it wasn’t the plan all along.
But somehow they still suppose that keeping up this cowardice and lying over the next few years will somehow maintain their congressional power while winning the White House back? A few words for that come to mind. None good.

Cruz discusses reigniting the Miracle of America at Iowa Freedom Summit

On the same day that marked the 50th anniversary of Winston Churchill's death, Ted Cruz travelled to the Iowa Freedom Summit and lit the place up, laying out three principles for reigniting America...
"Churchill stood as a lion in winter, a voice against the darkness that was sweeping the globe. And I'll tell you, 50 years later, we are facing threats every bit as ominous. And today, like then, we need the clarity of thought and voice and action that Churchill provided. One of the very first acts that President Obama did upon being elected was sending Churchill's bust back to the UK, and I think that foreshadowed everything that was to come the next six years."
"This country was built on an extraordinary miracle. The miracle of America began with a revolutionary idea, which is that our rights, they don't come from government, they come from God Almighty. And the Constitution, it serves, as Jefferson said, as chains to bind the mischief of government. ... And third, the miracle of America has been American exceptionalism, that we are the indispensable nation, a voice, a clarion voice for freedom, and we will back down to no face of tyranny. Now how do we bring that back?"
Listen below for the answers (you'll recognize many of these reiterated from the SC Tea Party Coalition Convention):

This honorable statesman MUST seek higher office...preferably in 2016! We can't afford anymore of either side of the Washington Establishment. 2016 is time for bold colors, no more pale pastels, America.

Discussing America's deflation under 'President No'

So, while the media focuses on deflated footballs, we're going to discuss a dire deflation that actually matters. One that provides, as Levin suggested last night, further evidence that our society is unraveling. Jeffrey Lord takes us through the motions of how 'President No' is coming into his own, as he constantly displays a show of respect for all of America's enemies (foreign and domestic), while casting any civil political opposition as the bigger threat...
AmericanSpectator: Call him President No. He doesn’t want to cut taxes. He will veto any attempt to overturn the mess of Obamacare. He is adamant about opposing anyone who wants to undoing his executive order on amnesty, or his sudden turnabout of U.S. policy on Cuba. He won’t say yes to the Keystone XL pipeline. And hell will freeze over before he utters the words “radical Islamic terrorism.”

Now the White House is furious that Speaker John Boehner has issued a February 11th invitation for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address Congress, this just hours after the president made it clear that he would say no to any new sanctions on Iran. “But new sanctions passed by this Congress, at this moment in time, will all but guarantee that diplomacy fails  —  alienating America from its allies; and ensuring that Iran starts up its nuclear program again,” Obama said. “It doesn’t make sense. That is why I will veto any new sanctions bill that threatens to undo this progress.”

Boehner disagreed, and in an action that had more than a whiff of Congress saying that two can play the game of unilateral actions, Netanyahu was invited to give his views. The president’s men, stung, angrily snapped that Boehner had “breached protocol.” Boehner calmly replied that he wasn’t “poking anyone in the eye.”

There could be no clearer picture of what the next two years — the last two years — of the Obama presidency will look like. The roles suddenly reversed, Republicans in Congress will be proposing, and a veto pen-wielding Mr. Obama will say no. No, no, and no again.

One hopes Republicans will be able to stick to their beliefs. The Boehner invitation to Netanyahu startles — and the speaker should be congratulated for his boldness. But for all the issues of import facing the country, the prospect of Iran obtaining nuclear capability is without doubt at the top of the list. Yet there remain those possessed of the idea that, as Hillary Clinton expressed it in her quickly infamous recent talk at Georgetown University, the world will yield to empathy and foreign policy re-sets. No matter that this attitude has only brought contempt from every American adversary or enemy from Russia’s Putin to the Iranian mullahs to China and ISIS. As the Weekly Standard quoted Clinton:
“This is what we call smart power,” Clinton said to a small audience at Georgetown. “Using every possible tool and partner to advance peace and security. Leaving no one on the sidelines. Showing respect even for one’s enemies. Trying to understand, in so far as psychologically possible, empathize with their perspective and point of view. Helping to define the problems, determine the solutions. That is what we believe in the 21st century will change — change the prospects for peace.”
This is an article of faith in the progressive world. And no matter the endlessly bad results it actually produces, if there is a progressive anywhere near the levers of presidential and diplomatic power this is where U.S. policy is headed — unless in some fashion Congress can force a change.

Thus, the Boehner initiative which will indeed induce a serious talk in Washington policy circles about Iran has been met with a stiff if helpless rebuff from President No.
Speaking of stiff, isn't it about time that the GOP add that to their collective spinal adjustment?
In the last six years, even the slightest resistance to Obama — not to mention the gale force winds of the Tea Party — have been painted as nothing more than outright negativity of the deepest, darkest, and most cynical kind. Nativist, mean-spirited, racist. Only yesterday Mrs. Clinton was in Canada and said that President Obama had laid down some policy “markers” and that America would see whether the GOP was capable of a “positive” response.

So ingrained has this idea become that there are prominent gullible Republicans who have swallowed this analysis whole. As here with South Carolina’s Senator Lindsey Graham, who said back there in a 2012 analysis of the GOP: “We’re not generating enough angry white guys to stay in business for the long term.”

For the first time in a long time, Republicans in Congress have the opportunity to start changing this “Party of No” dynamic. The opportunity to relentlessly send Mr. Obama one piece of legislation after another that he will have no recourse but to either say “yes” and accept — or reject. And the rejections — the saying “no” — are every bit as important as the acceptances in governing.

The world is slowly moving on from the Obama era. The fight over its legacy is beginning.
This is one page WE are certainly ready to turn...in hopes that it leads to a better story.

Turning the page on Obama's State of Disunion lies

If only!
Turning the page means not having to read any bad news.
Everything is AWESOME, folks...and free apparently! You know, there's lies, there's damn lies...and then there's Obama!
FPMag: Obama’s previous State of the Union address claimed last year would be a “breakthrough year.” In this year’s State of the Union address he announced that he would turn the page.

Turning the page on last year’s grandiose and dishonest claims is what Obama does with each new address. Each year terrorism has been permanently defeated and the economy has recovered; Al Qaeda is on the run, unemployed dentists from Poughkeepsie are learning to install solar panels and illegal aliens from Los Angeles are teaching sex ed to kindergarteners.

And then next year he comes out to announce once again that the country has recovered from the crisis that he had already announced that it had recovered from last year.

And everyone applauds.

What exactly is Obama turning the page on? Two lost wars and the lowest employed population since 1977… under his predecessor Jimmy Carter?

When everything on the last page looks so bad, then it’s time to turn the page, offer up a minor variation on the same promises about infrastructure, income inequality and education, before going back to a busy schedule of playing golf, visiting foreign countries on pseudo-vacations and ruling unilaterally without regard for the other two branches of government that don’t control the military.
This is why I didn't waste my night listening to this temporary chief office-holder outright lying to Americans. He hasn't been honest about the state of our union since he's held office. But it's more than simply his dishonesty...
Finally there are the genuinely evil lies, such as Obama condemning anti-Semitism and explaining how his commitment to gay rights makes us safer right before he discusses his determination to release some of the world’s most dangerous Islamic terrorists from Guantanamo Bay.

And yet all of Obama’s lies are in their own way evil. We expect politicians to lie, but an Obama speech is more than a few lies. It’s an absence of truth.

Obama not only lies about the economy or the war, he lies about his policies, he lies about his motives, he lies about what he did and what he said, and he goes on lying about what he intends to do. He lies boldly and he lies by omission. He lies gleefully. Even when he calls for bipartisanship and decency, he perverts those impulses by lying about his refusal to compromise or show any decency to Americans.

What Obama has delivered is not an address, but a black hole of lies in which each lie clusters next to a dozen more until it is impossible to see the light.
His modus operandi, just as much as the rest of the Left in America, with the media in tow (but I repeat myself). They'll all turn the page on this display of lies, because they all know what a load it is; yet they'll continue steamrolling America today, tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, with the same ol' tired utopian disillusionment.

Levin EXPOSES Obama and DEFENDS capitalism and private property rights...where's the GOP?

Don't burden yourself with Obama's State of Disunion speech tonight. Levin briefly mentioned the lies you'll hear uttered by this president and explained precisely how Obama's simply proposing more government with his latest tax-the-rich banter. Why bother listening to more Marxist redistributive clap-trap?

But perhaps more importantly, where's the opposition on this? To this?
TRS: In an excellent opening segment, Mark Levin responded to Obama’s tax increase proposal of the so-called ‘rich’, asking first whether conservatives and Republicans are even capable of exposing Obama’s welfare state and defending Capitalism, private property rights and the greatest economy on the face of the earth. That’s the question, and then he responds by doing just that.

Listen:

Here's a refresher course for the opposition (fyi, that should be the GOP):
"I want you to know what it's like to have a real conservative as president. I want you to know what it's like for an economy, for families, for individuals, where success is not only appreciated, it's encouraged! Where capitalism is encouraged, where economic growth is encouraged, rather than the misery and the bleakness that surrounds this country with this man as president..."

Cruz 'very, very seriously' considering presidential candidacy for 2016!

Just DO IT, Ted!
Brietbart: Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tells Breitbart News that he’s “very, very seriously” considering launching a presidential candidacy for 2016. Cruz adds that he thinks a bold conservative needs to win the GOP nomination next time around, or else he fears Democrats are likely to win the White House as they did in 2008 and 2012.

“God bless South Carolina. South Carolina has historically played a critical role in helping select Republican presidential nominees,” Cruz said in an interview here at the state’s Tea Party Coalition Convention:
South Carolina’s central role has been ensuring that we nominate a strong conservative. And when Republicans nominate a strong conservative with a positive, optimistic vision, we win. It’s the pathway to victory. So I’m thrilled to be here in South Carolina. You asked about 2016? It’s something I’m looking at very, very seriously. I got to tell you, the encouragement, the expressions of support that we’ve been receiving have been breathtaking. I’ve spent the day just meeting with grassroots activists, sitting here at roundtables with Republican women, with Tea Party leaders, with small business owners, with young people—answering their questions, listening to their concerns. The support we’re seeing at the grassroots but also at the financial level, the support we’re seeing from donors who recognize what we’re doing isn’t working and we’ve got to change paths. Really it’s been humbling and it’s been overwhelming.
When asked if politicians from Washington—both the Republican establishment and the Democrats, including Obama—missed the point of the midterm elections, Cruz replied simply “yes.”
You can guarantee this music to conservative ears has sounded the collective Washington Ruling Class' alarm (Democrats and Republicans alike) to launch their own campaign against this agent of liberty, for the principles that this statesman stands on threaten to overturn Big Government's tyrannical power trip.

I say, 'BRING IT!' It's past time for this fight.

ADDENDUM: Ted Cruz gave an EXCELLENT speech at the South Carolina Tea Party Convention on Sunday. Forget Obama's State of Disunion speech Tuesday evening, here's one well worth listening to...

Will the Legislative Branch ever regain it's constitutional authority?

Will the Legislative Branch ever surpass the talk and regain it's constitutional authority?
On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show, Congress is supposed to have legislative authority, but they've unconstitutionally delegated their powers to the Executive branch. John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Steve Scalise and the GOP should take up the cause of reconstituting Congress. The executive 'super branch' has to be fixed before we become a centralized authoritarian government. Over $2 trillion a year is spent on programs passed through the Executive branch; not by Congress. Instead of talking about funding the Department of Homeland Security, Boehner should be proposing amendments to restore Congress' power. Also, our massive regulatory state is destroying free enterprise in America. The economy will never recover unless we reverse the birth/death rate of small businesses. Without a growing entrepreneurial economy, there are no new jobs.
Take the 'play acting' of our bought-and-paid-for Speaker, for example...
TRS: Mark Levin says Boehner, bought and paid for by the Chamber of Commerce, is play acting in the House right now as he rails against Obama’s illegal amnesty because he thinks you’re stupid. Levin points out Boehner is talking out of both sides of his mouth because he has already admitted that he’s going to fully fund DHS in a ‘clean bill’ which will including everything immigration because they control it.

Listen:

And, yes, it IS 'about damn time' the House use the Power of the Purse, Mr. Gowdy. Unfortunately, I fear this is more 'play acting'...

Sorry, I want to believe he's genuine, but like TRS commentor Justin Henry says, "As much as I like Gowdy, he´s Boehner's boy. Where has he been for 6 years? He's in the Benghazi committee, IRS and gun-walking to Mexico. Nobody is in jail over what the Marxist in Chief has done. He talks a great game, that's about it."

He's not the only one to call out for play acting, though. Just look at what the Texas Legislature did a week after the U.S. House: they reelected their own Boeher!
EmpowerTexans: The Texas House gaveled the 84th Legislature into session Tuesday afternoon and the election of a Speaker headlined the agenda.

Conservative and Tea Party Republicans, frustrated with a moderate to outright liberal Speaker with a proven track record of killing conservative legislation, had been leading the charge for more conservative leadership in the House. They rallied around State Rep. Scott Turner (R-Frisco) who campaigned on a conservative agenda of honesty in spending and limited government.

Despite enjoying the support of the grassroots who spent months calling their representatives and descending on the Capitol in droves Monday and Tuesday to meet with them in person, the activists were not successful. Scott Turner fell short in his campaign for the Speaker’s gavel by a vote of 127-19.

Retaining power is Joe Straus, a moderate who first came to power thanks to the “Gang of 11” Republicans empowered by the support of 64 Democrats. With actions such as killing concealed carry on campus, delaying border security measures, wanting to bring Obamacare to Texas, and other matters, it’s no wonder that his allies include so many liberal Democrats. ...

It’s not known what is next for the Texas House, Speaker Straus, or Rep. Turner, but one thing is clear: The voters of Texas are demanding conservative results. They will lift up their champions to higher office, and vote out those who go on the record against them. And they are watching.
Nice hair, the both of them...but no backbone. And that's not gonna save our republic or restore legislative authority to its proper place, GOP.

The answer lies in what you deny, and that's the principles of conservatism. I know it's so much easier to be liberal or progressive these days, but forget the media and your bundlers for a moment, and just try genuinely standing up for principle, just once. You'll find a multitude of Americans backing you. And you might just find the courage to regain your authority prescribed by the Framers.

Obama Inc. snubs French unity rally against terrorism

Imagine that...not in the spotlight? Well, it wasn't about him, so why show? And don't bother checking the busy White House schedule that shows 'no public schedule' throughout the weekend. Don't mistake this intentional slight...
NYDailyNews: The U.S. attorney general, in Paris for a terrorism summit with French President Francois Hollande, did not join world leaders such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister David Cameron, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for the march and rally that drew a million people days after 12 were shot at satirical paper Charlie Hebdo. Others such as Obama and Vice President Biden were also not in attendance.

More than 40 heads of state came together in Paris to denounce a wave of terrorism that defiled the City of Light last week — yet there was one glaring exception: The U.S. sent only a low-level official.

French President Francois Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister David Cameron and dozens of other world leaders all took part in the powerful denunciation of last week’s terror attacks that left 17 innocents dead.

Even Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas set aside their differences to march together on Boulevard Voltaire.

But the nation that stands as the symbolic face of the war on terror was nowhere in sight.

Neither President Obama nor Vice President Biden showed up — and in fact, America’s only representative was its relatively unknown and low-profile ambassador to France.

Obama and Biden had empty public schedules Sunday, but the White House declined to comment on why they didn’t go.

The natural choice — Secretary of State Kerry, a Francophile who speaks the language — was in India for a longstanding engagement with the prime minister, White House officials said.
Eh, the playoffs were more important, don't ya know. And besides, Obama's busy shutting down GITMO. How would that look to stand against all the 'freedom fighters' of the world? The guy's got a legacy to uphold for Pete's sake.

America, what the hell were you thinking putting these children in charge?

Obama and Eric Holder won't stereotype Islamonazis as Muslim terrorists yet they're quick to stereotype cops as racists.

LEVIN: 'Boehner is biggest spending, biggest borrowing, most profligate Speaker in American history…'

...including Nancy Pelosi!

TRS: Mark Levin was on with Hannity tonight and slammed Boehner, saying his legacy of the last four years will be that he’s been the biggest spending, biggest borrowing, most profligate speaker in American history.

He said the Republican Party is no longer a conservative party and that it’s currently weaker than he’s ever seen it going into a presidential election year.

He said these aren’t serious people and if they keep doing these clown car elections so that we keep getting more of the same, it’s gonna backfire on them one day.
The only question I've got is what's it gonna take for Mark and multitudes of other constitutional conservatives, particularly the handful of honorable statesmen holding political office, to say, 'We're done!' and start a new political party revolution?! Elections won't matter if it's with these quislings. In light of the progressive lurch of the GOP, in essence coalescing with the Democratic statists, the opportunity for viable options grows by the day.

LEVIN: There’s a Muslim CRUSADE going on & COWARDS Obama, Holder won’t discuss Islamo-Nazi threat (UPDATES)

An honest commentary that you won't find in the lamestream media...
On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show: We're in a religious war throughout the Middle East and all around the world in the wake of a terrorist attack on a French magazine. Every magazine and newspaper in America should print those cartoons from Charlie Hebdo. It's time for the media and journalists to take a stand, but they're too afraid; they won't even stand up to a tyrannical president. President Obama is setting us up for a terrorist hit through a lack of border control, no profiling and an anti-cop mentality.
Listen to his opening segment below:

TRS: As much as he hates to say it, Mark Levin says we are in a religious war with hundreds of thousands of Muslims who are Islamic terrorists. He says there’s a Muslim crusade happening right now and Obama, Holder and the rest are cowards because they won’t discuss Islamic terrorism and the Islamo-Nazi threat.

And for that mere expression of conviction as a freely elected official on behalf of their constituency, the Establishment immediately retaliates...
TheHill: Multiple House Republicans are facing apparent retribution for declining to support John Boehner's (R-Ohio) reelection as Speaker.

Florida Republican Reps. Dan Webster and Richard Nugent have lost their spots on the House Rules Committee. A spokesman for the panel confirmed Webster and Nugent’s departures but didn’t elaborate on the circumstances.

The powerful committee controls how legislation is considered on the floor, with members appointed by the Speaker. ...

One of the defectors was Rep. Randy Weber (R-Texas), who says he’s already suffering retribution.

Weber, who voted for Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) for Speaker, was originally slated to be the sponsor of a noncontroversial Science, Space and Technology Committee bill that reached the House floor this week. The measure establishes a Department of Energy research program on low-dose radiation.

Rep. Randy Hultgren (R-Ill.) is now the sponsor of the bill, which was introduced Tuesday.

“The congressman was supposed to introduce the Low-Dose Radiation Research Act,” Weber spokeswoman Courtney Weaver said in an email.
Only those in lockstep with the Progressive Republicans need apply to party positions and legislative sponsorship. All others can sit in the corner and await expulsion come reelection time. This is your new Republican Party? If so, then we need a new one.

ADDENDUM: From Levin, first on Tuesday
25 true Conservatives dared to stand up and encourage their colleagues to deny John Boehner a first round positive vote for Speaker of the House. Dozens of other conservatives didn't have the guts to stand up. Boehner is now more angry at those who voted against him than angry at President Obama for his unconstitutional acts. Hours after Boehner was elected his allies were already out for revenge, ousting some from their committee posts. The system is badly broken; this is why people are rejecting both parties. The lack of leadership in Congress has allowed Democrats to destroy healthcare by funding Obamacare, and Americans are now paying for it. Also, there are now 21,000 regulations so far under Obama and nobody in Washington will do anything about this disaster. This is the exact reason we need Article V.

Then continuing on Wednesday:
John Boehner is one of the worst speakers in American history, yet Rep. Mick Mulvaney and other Boehner supporters are slamming the conservatives who voted against Boehner. Mulvaney calls it a coup attempt and a mutiny despite 60% of Republicans wanting a different speaker. He's afraid people will think he sold out his conservative ideals by voting for Boehner - because he did. Mulvaney claimed that he voted with the group of conservatives two years ago to prevent Boehner from being Speaker, but he never voted at all. Mr. Mulvaney, you have a lot of explaining to do.

Cowardice prevails: House elects Boehner to third term as Speaker

Into a new year, cowardice prevails within the GOP...
It makes absolutely no sense why the GOP would reward this man with another term for being arguably the worst Republican Speaker ever! His inability to unite his party under any inkling of principle is perpetually on display with his insistence on propping up a Democratic president while incessantly berating his conservative colleagues. The guy's reforming Bob Michel's reputation for crying out loud! What the hell does it say about a party who'd keep this loser in leadership?

And for all of that, nothing makes the media (and Democrats, but I repeat myself) happier. Onward into oblivion, Republicans...

ADDENDUM: And can we say OUT OF TOUCH? I think so...
PJMedia: A national poll of GOP voters supervised by Caddell Associates, Pat Caddell’s outfit, presented the following findings Sunday regarding today’s full House vote for the speaker position:
Only a quarter of GOP voters think [John] Boehner and [Mitch] McConnell should remain Speaker and Majority Leader. Three-fifths want someone new rather than Speaker Boehner and almost half want someone new rather than Leader McConnell.
The Daily Signal and Drudge mentioned it. Levin caught it last night. Otherwise, it received scant media attention. Shocker.

Meanwhile, most of the Republicans who were elected by those 75% IGNORED their constituents wishes and reelected Boehner to the speakership anyway.

LEVIN: ‘Johnny Boehner’ should NOT be re-elected as Speaker of the House

"Let me ask you folks a question: Is that what you want with the Republican Party facing tyranny? To work with the person who's unleashing the tyranny? To meet him halfway? Is that what you want? Well, that's what you've got."
A new year should mean new leadership in the GOP, right? Right?!
TRS: Mark Levin made the case tonight for why ‘Johnny Boehner’ shouldn’t be re-elected as Speaker of the House. Levin gave many reasons, including that he’s lied multiple times about serving one term or about how much time he’d allow before a bill is voted upon. But the one reason that sums it up quite well for me is that Speaker ‘Johnny’ runs the House much like his predecessor, Nancy Pelosi.

Levin explains below:

Too many have 'get-something-done' syndrome instead of doing not just what's right for the party, but what's right for America and its citizenry. At some point, that's gotta change...and this is a perfect opportunity to start with new leadership, Republicans.

John Boehner is feckless and will continue to be ineffective. The same can be said of Mitch McConnell. They will continue working with statist Democrats and against conservative Republicans. There's absolutely no reason to continue appointing these guys into leadership positions when they're only leading the party into nonexistence!
