TRS: He reminded Obama of his comment calling ISIS the “JV team,” and contrasting it with the threat level he’s applying now, asking, ‘was that bad intelligence or YOUR misjudgement?’ Watch Obama’s response:But all the excuses in the world couldn't dampen the fact that he flat out LIED to Chuck Todd!
Obama does all he can to save his comment, but he just sounds like a guy making excuses for his idiocy. That question still needs to be answered.
TRS: Yesterday on Meet the Press, Obama told Chuck Todd that he was not specifically referring to ISIL in his infamous JV quote from the New Yorker in January:First, blame bad intelligence. But when that doesn’t work, claim to be referring to something else. Typical Obama behavior.
TODD: “Long way, long way from when you described them as a JV team. Was that bad intelligence or your misjudgment?”But Politifact disagreed and gave the above statement by Obama a big fat LIE after contacting the author of the New Yorker piece in which the quote was originally published:
OBAMA: “Keep in mind I wasn’t specifically referring to ISIL. I’ve said that, regionally, there were a whole series of organizations that were focused primarily locally, weren’t focused on homeland, because I think a lot of us, when we think about terrorism, the model is Osama bin Laden and 9/11.”

However, despite receiving FOUR PINOCCHIOS from WaPo and a ‘FALSE‘ rating from Politifact, the White House still doubled down on the same lie today...
At this point, however inclined to make excuses for their president, the media can't ignore his foolishness.
Meanwhile, one of the few conservatives on Capitol Hill that they (Dem & RINO alike) constantly attempt to paint as an extremist, sounds absolutely rational...unlike President Feckless.

ADDENDUM: Maybe there's more hope than suspected behind Cruz's rationale...a higher calling perhaps...
RedState: If Senator Cruz builds his likely Presidential campaign team just as he built his Senate office team, he may actually have a shot. The good news is that he has taken at least one step in that direction by having Chip Roy, his Senate Chief of Staff, step down from that post to focus more attention on the political side of the business.
Now he’s going to focus on helping build the political team for Senator Cruz. There are miles to go on the path to 2016. But, if Ted Cruz wants to win – he must do so as an inspirational conservative. Taking Chip to the Presidential effort is a good first step of what will be many more needed to get the job done.
