So much for The Constitution which doesn't require the Speaker to be a member of the House. Conservatives panicked...John Boehner has been reelected by the House to be Speaker. He got over the 215 votes needed.
Don't expect any conservative legislation to prevail in the House for another four years...but you can guarantee he'll enable more liberal garbage to pass through.
