Primary season reason: It's time to EXPOSE the Donald...

So you've seen it. Every time someone threatens Chump's lead, he attacks, many times launching into unsubstantiated meandering. And it's quite unfortunate that these low-information, lib tactics have pervaded a thirsting Republican voter base with too much success. There's nothing principled about them, there's nothing conservative about them, much like the candidate himself, yet the populism is overwhelming logic and reason (much of the time over singular issues). And this modus operandi that we've come to know so well is even more explicitly exemplary towards his latest target: Ted Cruz.

It's time to take the gloves off and EXPOSE the Donald before the primary season is upon us, and it appears as though that's what the Cruz campaign has come to finally realize...
RedState: It appears that the bromance between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump is probably over for good. I mean, it was one thing to see Donald Trump openly attacking Cruz for days on end. We’ve seen that before, and never before had Cruz taken the bait. It appears that this method of dealing with Trump has finally reached its end in the Cruz campaign.
(CRUZ): I will say that it’s more than a little strange to see Donald relying on as authoritative a liberal, left-wing, judicial activist Harvard Law professor who is a huge Hillary supporter (Ed. note – Laurence Tribe). It starts to make you think, “Gosh, why are some of Hillary’s strongest supporters backing Trump?” You know, the last couple of elections the Democrats have gotten the nominee they wanted to run against in the general election. It seems the Hillary folks are very eager to support Donald Trump and the attacks that are being tossed my direction.
Welcome to the party, Ted Cruz. Better late than never to call Trump what he is.

I, for one, am glad that the prominent conservative personalities who have been pretending Trump is a conservative and talking about him positively to bolster their ratings, will finally have to choose between their wallet and their ideology (and credibility) in this battle between Trump and Cruz. It’s been a long time coming.
Folks, if you desire a genuine CONSERVATIVE in the Oval Office, truly working to tame this Big Government Leviathan on behalf of We The People, who will reverse so much of the lawlessness we've endured through an imperial president, a Democratic-Socialist Party, and openly promoted by its Praetorian Guard propaganda machine in the Press every step of the way, then it's time to thoughtfully decide...and I'm sorry, but it ain't this guy!
RedState: For years we accused the Establishment of pushing Democrats with an R next to their name onto us. We declared in those instances that they must also be conservative, not just a Republican.

Donald Trump has shown us time and again that he is far from a conservative. He’s a democrat donating, single payer supporting, eminent domain abusing, flip flopping, racist, sexist, temper tantrum throwing, xenophobic liar who will find ways to destroy what’s left of post-Obama America.

If you vote for him just because that R is next to his name or just because you believe (with no evidence) that he will keep his work on his immigration policy prescriptions, then you are the definition of a RINO.
I take no intrinsic joy in lambasting the guy. I understand his popularity with years of fecklessness coming from a spineless Republican Party. But now is the time to move beyond the platitudes and to assess the records that go beyond what the lamestream media want you to hear. Now's the time to look at who's aiming to revitalize our American Way with authenticity...

Once you do that, folks, it couldn't be more clear... #TimeForTruth #Cruz2016 #TrusTed

ADDENDUM: via Steve Deace...a message to everyone tempted to make the same mistake...
Do not claim some sort of conservative high ground with me when you're backing Donald Trump:

--Who isn't pro-life
--Who opposes defunding Planned Parenthood
--Who isn't pro-family
--Who told Kim Davis to rot in jail
--Who has always supported amnesty in the past, including touch back amnesty now
--Who gave $50,000 to Rahm Emanuel and the corrupt Chicago Democrat Machine
--Who has donated untold millions of dollars to Leftist politicians/causes that have always worked against us, including the Clintons
--Who is the most deeply embedded globalist in the race, including the millions upon millions he's made for and off of Islamists Regimes/business interests
--Who doesn't favor spiking this dangerous Iran Deal on day one
--Who told Israel they don't really want peace, and might have to give even more to the Islamists
--Who has abused eminent domain and private property rights for his own enrichment than perhaps more than any person who has ever run for president
--Who praises tyrants in Russia and North Korea

And there's plenty more where that came from.

Enough is enough. I appreciate Trump's contribution to this campaign of shattering the GOP establishment/liberal media Overton Window. I've been more than kind to it, to the detriment of some of my own relationships.

But now it's time for serious and principled constitutionalists with the future of the country at stake. A real campaign, and an end to the reality show. With real issues that Trump has proven he either knows nothing about, doesn't want to know about, or is wrong on.

We already have a narcissist in the White House. The country can't afford another one.
