Through it all, the man proved his mettle time and time again, whether in these exchanges, in his support for our military, while defending the Second Amendment, while substantively discussing ISIS, China, jobs, taxes... "As President, I will have your back!"

Afterwards, he had a breather with Cavuto to discuss the back and forths of the evening, repeating the old adage, if you're not taking flak, you're not over the target...
