You can thank Obama for the spike in cop killings

“Cops across this country are feeling the assault. They’re feeling the assault from the President, from the top on down as we see, whether it’s in Ferguson or Baltimore, the response of senior officials of the President, of the Attorney General, is to vilify law enforcement. That is fundamentally wrong, and it is endangering the safety and security of us all.” ~ Ted Cruz
And now today another officer is added to that growing tally...
CBSChicago: A manhunt was underway in far north suburban Fox Lake, after a police officer was shot and killed during a traffic stop.

Lake County Major Crimes Task Force Cmdr. George Filenko said an officer was shot Tuesday morning near Rollins Road and Route 59. Sources said the officer has died.

According to sources, it started with a traffic stop on Rollins Road, when pepper spray was deployed, and the officer was shot.

Police were searching for a white male and a black male, and possibly a female as well. Unconfirmed dispatch reports indicated the suspects might have taken the officer’s gun and pepper spray.

IBD: ...the FBI says the number of cops feloniously killed in the line of duty soared 89% last year. How much can a cop-vilifying president be blamed for the trend?

Deadly shootings and assaults on cops jumped to 51 in 2014 from 27 in 2013, according to preliminary FBI data.

The total includes the brutal ambush of two New York City policemen as they sat in their squad car in New York on Dec. 20. Their black killer, Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley, indicated that he sneaked up to their parked patrol car and shot them both in the head as payback for the deaths of Eric Garner in New York and Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo.

This year is shaping up to be as bad, if not worse, for cop killings. Five NYPD cops already are believed to have been shot by black criminals in just the past five months. Last week, 25-year-old officer Brian Moore was fatally shot in the head while in his car, allegedly by career criminal Demetrius Blackwell.

And [in May], four blacks were charged with the shooting deaths of Hattiesburg, Miss., police officers Benjamin Deen and Liquori Tate. The cops were ambushed while making a traffic stop. Two of the suspects allegedly then stole their police cruiser as a getaway car.

Law enforcement officials say President Obama and his "war on police" are to blame for the tragedies. Even some African-American brass are livid over his demagoguing, as acts of racism, recent unintended deaths of black criminals who resisted arrest or attacked police.

"Obama started this war on police intentionally," said Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke. "Right in line with his community agitating."

Media are also to blame. From Ferguson to Baltimore, they've parroted the false narrative put out by a race-mongering White House and Justice Department.

CNSNews: In response to the execution-style murder of Harris County Deputy Sheriff Darren Goforth, who was shot multiple times at a gas station in Cypress, Texas, Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. strongly criticized what he called the “black lies matter” movement and stressed that President Barack Obama himself had “started this war on police.”

On Fox’s “Justice With Judge Jeanine” on Aug. 29, the host asked Sheriff Clarke, “Is it open season on law enforcement in this country?”

Sheriff Clarke said, “Judge, I am too pissed off tonight to be diplomatic about what’s going on and I’m not going to stick my head in the sand about it.”

“I said last December that war had been declared on the American police officer led by some high profile people, one of them coming out of the White House, and one coming out of the United States Department of Justice,” said Clarke.

Deputy Darren Goforth was killed on Friday, Aug. 28, while he was pumping gas into his car at a gas station. The killer walked up from behind and shot Goforth multiple times in the back. Shannon J. Miles, 30, was arrested on Aug. 29 and charged with capital murder in the death of Goforth. Several Texas law enforcement officials have called the murder a “cold-blooded assassination.”
What all these community agitators are overlooking in their blind allegiance to this president's politicized hashtag cause célèbre is that #LivesMatter, all of them, period. Everyday it becomes more apparent that this simple truth is lost on a president, a party and a promotional press.
"When the rhetoric ramps up to the point where calculated, cold-blooded assassination of police officers happen, this rhetoric has gotten out of control. We have heard 'black lives matter,' 'all lives matter.' Well, cops' lives matter, too. Why don't we just drop the qualifier and say, 'lives matter?'" ~ Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman
