Ryan: America deserves a better path

Excellent new ad by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan...

America deserves a better path...and the first step is to operate America's government under a BUDGET! To date, we've operated under NO budget through the entirety of Barack Obama's presidency...this is utterly senseless and absurd, not to mention unsustainable.

At the very least, a responsible president should demand a budget or else agree to aid in shutting down governmental legislative passage (not through fiat, but through the power of the pen) until a budget arrives. However, as we've witnessed since taking office, responsibility has hardly been Obama's forte (i.e., signing off on an ideological multi-trillion dollar piece of legislation, Obamacare, in the middle of an economic recession, not to mention bailouts and stimulus spending!). This is yet another reason to vote Obama out in November, as well as all those who are content with this dysfunctional operation.

ADDENDUM: And one more zinger from the CBO before the week's out, via The Hill:

President Obama’s 2013 budget would add $3.5 trillion to annual deficits through 2022, according to a new estimate from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

It also would raise the deficit next year by $365 billion, according to the nonpartisan office.

The CBO estimate is in sharp contrast to White House claims last month that the Obama budget would reduce deficits by $3.2 trillion over the next decade.

Everyone should understand the 'Obama equation' by now: however much he claims the debt will be reduced, bank on the reality of that figure to be the approximate increase instead. That makes sense when you think about how it falls within the rules of liberal inversions (i.e., call something one thing, when its effects are quite the opposite).
