Obama threatens to hold Social Security hostage

We knew it’d come down to these kind of scare tactics aimed at some of our most vulnerable: seniors, veterans, the disabled, and any combination among them. As Human Events puts it, “Watch as this master propagandist lies shamelessly by claiming if an agreement on spending money we don’t have isn’t reached by August 2 then Social Security checks due out the next day just might not make it to the recipients.”

And CNSNews disproves Obama's lie:

"According to the Daily Treasury Statements published by the U.S. Treasury Department, the ongoing flow of federal tax revenue since the Treasury declared that it had hit the debt limit on May 16 has been more than sufficient to cover the combined costs of federal spending on interest payments, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, the Veterans Affairs department and federal workers wages and insurance benefits (including wages and insurance benefits for military personnel)."

Also though, something to remember, America...when Obama says, “I cannot guarantee those checks go out on August 3rd if we haven't resolved this issue because there may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it,” he affirms that his brand of professional politicians have raided the lockbox over the years that they promised would be there for YOUR benefit later in life. As a line from an 80’s classic goes, “Never trust a junkie,” or in this case a rabid statist (but I repeat myself).
