“Tax and Spend” to…Spend and Tax!

In his Sunday interview preceding the Super Bowl. Obama had the gall to proclaim:

“I didn’t raise taxes once. I lowered taxes over the last two years. I lowered taxes for the last two years.”

Au contraire, mon frère…
“Obama Makes Super False Tax Claim: “I didn’t raise taxes once”” by John Kartch
http://www.atr.org/files/files/020711pr_Obama_I_DIDNT_Raise_Taxes_Once(3).pdf
Mr. Kartch brilliantly points out an abundant tally of increased tax provisions in Obamacare alone (or as the administration falsely sold them: “fees”):

     Individual Mandate Excise Tax
     Employer Mandate Excise Tax
     Small business 1099-MISC Information Reporting
     Surtax on Investment Income
Excise Tax on Comprehensive Health Insurance Plans
     Hike in Medicare Payroll Tax
     Medicine Cabinet Tax
     HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike
Flexible Spending Account Cap – aka “Special Needs Kids Tax”
     Tax on Medical Device Manufacturers
"Haircut" for Medical Itemized Deduction from 7.5% to 10% of AGI
     Tax on Indoor Tanning Services
Elimination of tax deduction for employer-provided retirement Rx drug coverage
     Blue Cross/Blue Shield Tax Hike
     Excise Tax on Charitable Hospitals
     Tax on Innovator Drug Companies
     Tax on Health Insurers
     Biofuel “black liquor” tax hike
Codification of the “economic substance doctrine”

So if we cut past the boastful rhetoric, what exactly is on Obama’s mind in the order of meaningful stability for our Nation? Well, it appears to be next to nothing. He’s too busy creating more ways to spend…here’s our latest example:
“Obama to call for $53B for high-speed rail” by Julie Pace

Nevermind our projected $1.5 Trillion dollar budget deficit for 2011…just come up with whatever idea you can pull out of the ether, right Mr. Prez?! Anything to distract...

And while figuring out in no certain terms how WE might pay for these kinds of exorbitant projects, our leaderless one has come up with yet more ways to 'spread the wealth around'. How about taxing businesses and workers MORE to prop up the ‘free ride’ of nonproductivity?

What’s so ‘moderate’ about spending and taxing us into oblivion?! NOTHING. Only a devoted Statist could come up with such a fate for the ‘masses’. But really, what’s new? This limousine liberal has been proposing “tax and spend” policies like there’s no tomorrow since he’s been in office (correction, before he was in office!). And as we sink deeper into debt, we continue to see a man out in front of an administration that will do anything and everything for government’s sake.
