By design? Obama admin undermines prevention of Ebola and other infectious diseases (UPDATES)

With Ebola here and Enterovirus D68 spread across the nation (btw, another child has died), it's getting harder and harder to ignore what's becoming more and more obvious...

Why is it that in 2010, President Ebola scrapped CDC quarantine regulations aimed at infectious diseases, including Ebola?!
TheDC: In October 2014, the first patient on American soil infected with the Ebola virus sits in isolation in a Texas hospital, prompting calls for travel restrictions between the United States and Ebola-stricken countries.

Meanwhile, four years ago, the administration of President Barack Obama moved with virtually no fanfare to abandon a comprehensive set of regulations which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) had called essential to preventing international travelers from spreading deadly diseases inside the United States.
I'll answer that...because as long as his divisive political endeavors rely on the multiculti propaganda and the unassimilated masses flooding across our borders and into our country without federal resistance, breaching every measure of sovereignty and advancing his undying goal of fundamental transformation, he'll risk OUR collective life and limb.

Look no further than the pawns he places before us to dictate the opposite of Cruz's common sense.

From the NIH Director Anthony Fauci's emphatic (and pathetic) excuses that we cannot ban flights from Ebola-riddled African countries...
TruthRevolt: Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci, explained to Fox & Friends Monday that it was "unhelpful" to ban flights from west African countries, saying that to do so would "marginalize" them and risk allowing their countries to implode, creating an even greater global risk.

After having appeared on Chris Wallace Sunday, Fauci followed up the interview on Fox & Friends Monday morning. One of his primary goals: to defend the federal response to Ebola, particularly the decision not to ban flights, including commercial flights, from Ebola-risk countries in west Africa.
...to former Obama Czar Van Jones, who wants to blame Ebola on Cruz and conservatives (and the GOP)...
DailySurge: You’ve kind of got to hand it to Van Jones; the man has no shame. According to the former Obama Czar, “This Ebola thing is the best argument you can make for the kind of government that we believe in.” By “we,” he of course means Democrats. Because, you know, Republicans obviously don’t care about sick people.

And Mr. Jones is taking that notion one step further, encouraging Obama to turn the virus into an election year political game. “A year ago, Ted Cruz shut down America’s government, shut down the CDC over shenanigans,” Van told ABC’s This Week. “What if that happened this year? You’ve got to start putting the Republicans on the defensive for the fact that they believe that you can take a wrecking ball to America’s government, never pay a price.”

Ah, so the government shutdown caused Ebola. Got it!

This reeks of desperation. What Van is encouraging his party to do isn’t to play up certain strengths for the midterms, but rather to simply lie outright, since they haven’t got anything positive to run on. It’s pretty pathetic. Furthermore, when he talks about the “wrecking ball to America’s government,” he conveniently forgets to mention that the sweeping government cuts brought about by sequestration were Obama’s own idea in the first place.
Uh huh, making political light of life or death situations will somehow save us all. But we're the conspiracy theorist, don't ya know? Only in the age of Obama with a pretorian media loyal to the Left and devoted to providing cover.

UPDATES: Finally...but is it enough, or is it too little too late? And why are we checking them AFTER they're here? These are post-landing screenings, so if they've got it, they've already brought it. Why not before their flights leave? However, this just doesn't make sense to keep these flights coming at all and acting like business as usual...
KTUU: Five major U.S. airports -- JFK in New York, Newark, Chicago, Washington Dulles and Atlanta -- are set to start screening passengers on flights from West Africa for Ebola virus.

The news comes along with word that the first Ebola patient diagnosed in the U.S., Liberian national Thomas Eric Duncan, died this morning at a Dallas hospital.
Particularly when we hear from Border Patrol agents that they're catching Liberian illegals crossing from Mexico, and have been for months!
TopRightNews: Border agents have some stunning news for Americans concerned about the risk of Ebola.

Agents are reporting that they have caught hundreds of illegal aliens crossing our Southern border from African Ebola “hot zones” over the past several months, the majority of them from Liberia, where Dallas Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan is from.

And as a Federal GAO report told us last year, for every illegal caught at the border, an estimated 5 more slip through. So potentially thousands of West African illegals may have entered the United States illegally in just the past 6 months.

Chris Cabrera is a spokesperson for the National Border Patrol Council, a union representing United States Border Patrol Agents. In an interview for KGBT television in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, Cabrera told the reporter just how high the threat really is.

And very little attention is being paid towards the likely origin of Enterovirus D68 as fears grow for American children...
Breitbart: Parents across the country are experiencing a new level of fear for the health of their children as Enterovirus D68, the so-called "Mystery Illness," spreads causing paralysis and even death in kids.

The "Mystery Illness" has sent hundreds of children to hospitals from coast to coast, spreading to nearly every state and identified as the cause for at least four deaths. Some researchers are already calling this outbreak the Polio for our era.

The Centers for Disease Control have identified 594 cases in 43 states and the District of Columbia since August, but authorities say there are likely many more cases that have not been diagnosed. The virus is especially sneaky because it presents as a cold or the flu.

But the worst cases develop from a mere runny nose or aches and pains to serious headaches, neck pain, respiratory difficulties and then paralysis in some. ...

One issue about this virus, though, seems to be left out of the investigation: where it is coming from.

Viruses like this are much more common in Central and South America, and by some accounts it seems likely that the tens of thousands of illegal aliens that swamped our southern border may have brought the virus with them. A study in the Virology Journal in 2013 found a connection between Enterovirus and Latin America.

Dr. Jane Orient, executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, has also raised the question.

On September 17, Dr. Orient said:
'We don't know where it's coming from... Are there immigrants from Central America, where this disease has allegedly been prevalent before? Should we be [looking at] the virus to see whether it's like what's been found in some of these countries that are just sending waves of children across our border and they haven't been quarantined long enough to make sure they're not sick?'
But I'm sure Dr. Fauci would dismiss all of this as unnecessary or false dissemination of information and overall fear-mongering, while Van Jones would follow suit by blaming Ted Cruz or something. Obama...he'd just hit the road for another fundraiser...well, that or the golf links.

They obviously don't see the same threat we do. I mean, not only aren't they prohibiting flights from these infected areas. No, they're going one step further and deploying our most honorable there! And the Defense Department has admitted that our troops sent to Liberia will 'come in contact' with Ebola-infected individuals...
ZeroHedge: With boots-on-the-ground heading to Liberia to help 'manage' the anarchic dystopia that a frightened nation has become, General David Rodriguez (Commander, US Africa Command) held a briefing today to explain US troops' role:
QUESTION: Will they be in contact with individuals or just specimens?
RODRIGUEZ: They come in contact with the individuals.
Of course this was followed by a stream of qualifiers that all protection possible will be taken (just like the nurses in Madrid?)

Via Bloomberg Transcript:
KIRBY: Afternoon, everybody. I'm proud to welcome into the briefing room General David Rodriguez, commander of Africa Command. He's here to give you an update on U.S. contributions to the effort against Ebola -- U.S. military contributions to the effort against Ebola in West Africa. And with that, sir, I'll turn it over to you.

QUESTION: Just a clarification on that, please. Will they be in contact with individuals or just specimens?

GENERAL DAVID M. RODRIGUEZ (USA), COMMANDER, U.S. AFRICA COMMAND: They come in contact with the individuals and they do that. And they're -- like I said, it's a -- it's a very, very high standard that these people have operated in all their lives, and this is their primary skill. This is not a -- you know, just medical guys trained to do this. This is what they do for a living.
Na, there's no risk of them contracting this deadly disease and bringing it back. Common sense and reason, out the window.
