The reality of shamnesty: the Left and their RINO allies don't give a damn about Americans

Last week, Kurt Schlichter wrote a piece for Townhall, with a title that says it all: "They Will Risk Your Kids' Lives Before They Risk Immigration Reform"

While I encourage folks to take a look at that piece, it is the succinct comments from Mitchell Meyers on the Schlichter piece that boldly announce how the reality of this 'shamnesty' is that the institutional Left doesn’t give a damn about Americans overall...
AmericaVictorious: “No, the “even if it saves just one life” rationale apparently only applies when it’s offered to justify stripping fundamental rights from law-abiding American citizens. When it comes to future Democrat voters – being illegals and criminals make them a donkey party twofer! – our dead kids are just acceptable losses.”

Mr. Schlichter is absolutely right about this on several levels. Read his entire column to get the full impact of his quite justifiable outrage. For one thing, the left and their RINO allies care about children only to the extent that they can be used as props for their transparently cynical political agenda. The only time you hear about ‘for the children’ when it comes to illegal immigration is in the heart-wringing wails of lamentation for illegal kids that maybe have to pay out of state tuition. You know, like the rest of us who may live in North Carolina that perhaps want to send their kids off to University of Virginia. Or maybe Tennessee due to their phenomenal fight song. And of course, their fellow travelers in the media will typically bury any story involving an illegal DUI resulting in injury and death to Americans. The safety and financial well-being of actual Americans comes in well behind the amnesty crowds’ desire for a combination of cheap labor and new dependents as grist for the mill of grinding out new Democrats.

Isn’t Congress supposed to represent the actual American constituents in their respective districts? Where in the federal or any state Constitution for that matter, does it relegate the welfare of our citizens to the back of the line behind foreigners that have invaded the country illegally and flaunt their lawlessness with brazen impunity? And when will Americans have had enough to the point where garbage like this shamnesty fiasco doesn’t even have a prayer of passage to begin with?
The answer to much of that is this: When Americans collectively decide to take responsibility in electing equally responsible representation that will follow our Constitution steadfastly, instead of violating its governmental limitations on a whim. That whim usually resulting in political gain to the detriment of our civil society.
