NRO: Politico’s Playbook has an excerpt from a new Ryan Lizza piece from The New Yorker that is not yet online. It contains a passage on the back-and-forth between labor and the Chamber that has a quote from a Rubio staffer that is going to raise eyebrows, to say the least:(Note: The fact that Rubio's spokesman objected to the magazines inclusion of that so-called 'background quote', illustrates the untrustworthiness of this once highly-esteemed man.)
“There are American workers who, for lack of a better term, can’t cut it. There shouldn’t be a presumption that every American worker is a star performer. There are people who just can’t get it, can’t do it, don’t want to do it. And so you can’t obviously discuss that publicly.”
...or it's Goober Grahamnesty (who hasn't been highly-esteemed in quite sometime) professing his dedication to his own party's demise over optics...
Breitbart: Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) says that immigration reform will pass the Senate with flying colors – more than 70 votes. He said that without passing the bill, the Republican Party would enter a “demographic death spiral.” “I’m going to leave you on a positive note,” he said on NBC’s Meet the Press. “I think we’re going to have a political breakthrough that Congress is going to pass immigration reform. I think we’re going to get plus-70 votes. I’ve never been more optimistic about it.”(Note: This poor bastard can't see that THIS is sending the Republican Party into the death spiral. No, not from the good graces of the Hispanic community, but from the pissed off (and pissed on) conservative base!)
Graham then picked his favorite 2016 candidates – and leading the list was former Florida Governor Jeb Bush. “If we don’t pass immigration reform, if we don’t get it off the table in a reasonable practical way, it doesn’t matter who you run in 2016,” he said. “We’re in a demographic death spiral as a party, and the only way we can get back in good graces with the Hispanic community, in my view, is pass comprehensive immigration reform.”

The big story of the morning is who's pulling the strings behind these puppets (and it's not Schumer)...you know who. A new report states that Obama is quietly running this amnesty bill from the White House, and thus has control over the Gang of Ocho...
TheDC: The White House is playing a larger role in developing the Gang of Eight’s immigration bill than its supporters publicly admit, according to a forthcoming article in The New Yorker. Thanks for a more permanent infusion of an everlasting statism, Republican Party. Couldn't have done it without you.
“‘No decisions are being made without talking to us about it,’ the official said of the Gang of Eight negotiations … ‘This does not fly if we’re not O.K. with it,’” a senior Obama official told author Ryan Lizza for the pending article.
White House officials also believe the emerging bill will be a huge success for President Barack Obama.
“If a Gang of Eight-style bill is signed into law by the President, it will probably be one of the top five legislative accomplishments in the last twenty years,” the official said. “It’s a huge piece of business.”
