Reid, Biden, Obama scramble on gun control in wake of bombing

The marathon bombing has really put things in perspective...and the White House is having a hell of a time with that, particularly when it comes to redirecting the attention of Americans back to their anti-gun agenda.

Word came down today that Biden has been called in to twist arms, because Senate Democrats lack the 60 votes needed to advance gun control legislation.
IBTimes: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., is reportedly falling short of the 60 votes needed for the bipartisan background checks compromise, and Vice President Joe Biden is stepping in to try and save the measure.

Democratic aides told Politico that a whip count was done on Monday. Now Biden is making personal calls to senators urging them to back the measure, that website reported.
I'm with WeaselZippers on this one, "If Joe Biden sways you to do anything, you’re an idiot."

And in an efforts to further cast criticism on so-called "unreasonable extremists," Dingy Harry allowed his true feelings about anti-gun legislation to slip out...

Make no mistake, though, folks...this is no Freudian slip. This is really how he and the Democratic statists perceive this issue. You know, from time to time, they do let down their guard and feel comfortable enough to blurt out their true intentions. This is one of those times.

Meanwhile, instead of dealing with the matter of who struck America on his watch (which the media doesn't dare state in those terms), Obama runs to his microphones (a.k.a. the morning shows) to proclaim how its “unimaginable” that Congress would “defy” Americans and not pass gun control legislation. Never mind the bogus stats that he's constantly regurgitating...or the liberal interviewer who calls him out for taking the unimaginable route when his own political backside was on the line!

Perhaps it's not a matter of refocusing the nation on this man and this party's anti-constitutional agenda, but rather the fact that a horrendous event like this puts the world in perspective, demonstrating how vital it is that we have the tools to secure our own individual freedoms.
