Obama's divisive Easter service

While most Christians were rejoicing Sunday morning in the Resurrection of Christ, something very different was being celebrated at St. John’s Episcopal Church, known as "The Church of the Presidents," where the Obama family attended. (Note: I'm gonna use the ABC report to doubly point out what tools the lamestream media have become)
ABCNews: The sermon turned slightly political when Leon said there are some members of the religious right who are trying to pull people back rather than letting them move forward.

“The captains of the religious right are always calling us back, back back. For blacks to be back in the back of the bus, for women to be back in the kitchen, for gays to be in the closet and for immigrants to be on their side of the border,” Leon said. “What you and I understand is that when Jesus says you can’t hang onto me, he says you know it’s not about the past, it’s not about the before, it’s not about the way things were but about the way things can be in the now.”

“Will you accept the invitation from our gospel today to see things with Easter vision, recognizing reality in a different and new and wonderful way?” he later added. “Today the choice is yours. Jesus Christ is risen today. That’s the proclamation. May god bless you with Easter vision now and forever. Amen.”
Man, how that church has gone awry. Where to begin? Slightly political? Umm, did you just read what this so-called pastor preached from the pulpit? Then following with...
“Will you accept the invitation from our gospel today to see things with Easter vision, recognizing reality in a different and new and wonderful way?”
Easter vision? Kind of like x-ray, I suppose. See-through sin, if you will. Race-baiters, feminazis, militant homosexuals and illegal aliens...what a different, new and wonderful way to see reality.

I think Leon revved up his hate-on with Obama in the audience as inspiration...and of course Obama wore his usual rose-colored glasses that interpret this uncivil speech as acceptable. Both seem to have missed the second chance presented to humanity in Christ's death and resurrection, though. Quite unfortunate.
