Potential immigration reform deal sees doubling of illegal crossings and deeper dispatching of drug cartels (UPDATES)

Border, what border? Sovereignty, whose? You'd swear that's how this administration reacts to this seeping invasion when observing its policies of thwarting the rule of law. If the politicians don't wake the hell up, especially the Republicans, this nation will further balkanize into something unrecognizable.

Here's a glimpse of what's happening with the current pathway to citizenship talk before properly securing the border...
Townhall: As the immigration reform Gang of Eight inside the Beltway prepares to announce a deal later this week, claiming border security will come before a path to citizenship for millions of illegals, Border Patrol agents have seen illegal border crossings double and warn the cutting of agent work hours will only result in less border security, not more.

"We've seen the number of illegal aliens double, maybe even triple since amnesty talk started happening," an agent told Townhall, who asked to remain unnamed due to fears of retaliation within Customs and Border Protection [CBP], something he said is common. "A lot of these people, although not the majority, are criminals or aggravated felons. This is a direct danger to our communities."

Data obtained by Townhall and reported within CBP from February 5 through March 1, 2013 shows 504 illegal aliens were spotted exploiting the Tucson/Nogales area, 189 were caught on CBP intelligence cameras. Of those 504, only 174 were apprehended and 32 of the 189 on camera were carrying large drug load packs for Mexican cartels. Some were armed with AK-47 style weapons.

Last week, Fox News reported sections of the border will soon become unpatrolled as hours for on-the-ground agents are cut. Townhall has learned Border Patrol agents working the border have been fully funded, yet internal political battles within CBP may be causing funds to be funneled to managers, rather than those getting their boots dirty on patrols.

As sequestration goes into full effect April 7 and a deal in Washington on immigration reform gets locked in, illegal crossings are expected to get worse.

"We have seen increased crossings and smuggling since word of staffing cuts began circulating. The illegals have even told us that is why they tried crossing. The border is safer but by no means secure," Moran says.

Another agent expressed the same sentiment, saying when apprehended, some illegal aliens ask where they can go to find amnesty.
And if that doesn't look criminal enough for you, here's going bad to worse...
AP: Mexican drug cartels whose operatives once rarely ventured beyond the US border are dispatching some of their most trusted agents to live and work deep inside the United States — an emboldened presence that experts believe is meant to tighten their grip on the world’s most lucrative narcotics market and maximize profits.

If left unchecked, authorities say, the cartels’ move into the American interior could render the syndicates harder than ever to dislodge and pave the way for them to expand into other criminal enterprises such as prostitution, kidnapping-and-extortion rackets and money laundering.
See, I don't think it's a stretch to refer to this as an invasion in the least. If it were any other country, troops and tanks would be on the ground with flyovers...but our politicians don't treat it as such. Instead we're constantly bombarded with compassionate pleas for the invading criminal. 'They just want a better life.' Does this look like a better life? That tired argument is an absolute fraud.

And God help us if these become the next crop of American voters? Warning to Republicans: there's nothing ripe about criminal behavior as a prerequisite for a voter base. They're not conservatives in waiting. Awaken from your ruling class slumber, fools.

UPDATES: How about that...no sooner than these reports of doubled illegal crossings and increased drug cartel involvement within America, and the Obama administration suddenly has a change of heart when it comes to the furlough of border agents. What a coincidence...
FoxNews: The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency said Monday it will delay furloughs and the elimination of planned overtime, after announcing last week it would implement such cuts to deal with sequester -- the roughly $85.4 billion in mandatory federal budget reductions this year across all government agencies.

The border agency said the cuts will be delayed “pending re-examination,” following concerns from Congress and at least one border agent union about potential safety and security lapses.
Looks like they got caught being too obvious this time...but they'll look for other ways to skirt the people and our sovereignty. Count on it.

Mark Levin also had some serious words about this subversion...
On Monday's Mark Levin Show: Once again our politicians are trying to pass thru legislation without informing the American people what is in it or what the repercussions of it will be. From Obamacare to now new immigration laws, Congress is trying to quickly rush bills through so they won't have to face any scrutiny from the American people. We are supposed to believe that President Obama truly cares about illegal immigrants and citizenship - when really he is using it to gain more votes and support for the Democrat Party. What's the purpose of the federal government if not to protect the American citizenry? We see what cartels are doing in Mexico and yet we refuse to fully secure the border.

"Our borders should be secured no matter what occurs when it comes to illegal aliens, no matter what occurs when it comes to legal immigrants. Our borders should be secured as a separate matter, starting today, no matter what, for the security of our nation and to preserve our nation's sovereignty. It's not a bargaining chip; it's not part of a comprehensive bill. It is the obligation of the federal government that goes into court and demands absolute authority over the states in this regard. It is the obligation of the federal government, the President of the United States, the Congress, and yes, the Supreme Court, to make sure that border's secure to insure the safety of this nation."
