Israel prepares for ground offensive into Gaza

Bibi and the Jewish State have had enough...the escalation has been swift throughout the day.

Reuters: Israeli tanks and troops massed outside Gaza and the military said on Friday it was calling up 16,000 reservists, signs of a possible imminent invasion of the Palestinian enclave after 48 hours of air strikes.

Israel's warplanes, drones and helicopters appeared to shift focus from suspected Palestinian rocket sites to the northern Gaza frontier, where their bombs created incursion corridors by clearing landmines or guerrilla gun nests.

The mobilisation was anything but secret and details put on social media by the Israeli military appeared to be a clear warning to the Hamas Islamists that govern Gaza to push for a truce.

The Israeli Defense Force reported that 97 rockets fired from Gaza have hit Israel today (that's 388 since Nov. 14). The Iron Dome air defense system has intercepted another 99 rockets.

Reports this afternoon allude to a ground offensive on the horizon if Hamas continues firing rockets into Israeli cities.

YWN: Defense Minister Ehud Barak sought government approval on Friday to mobilize up to 75,000 reserve troops for Israel’s Gaza campaign, political sources said, in a sign of preparations for a possible ground offensive.

The sources, speaking after Palestinian rockets were fired at Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, said ministers were being polled by telephone by the cabinet secretary to approve the call-up.

According to the IDF, over 16,000 reservists have already been mobilized, out of the 30,000 previously approved by the Israeli government.

We all know Hamas. At this point, it's only a matter of time before Israel has to go in and wipe these terrorists OUT for good. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Israel should just push the 'Strip' back into Egypt and reclaim THEIR LAND! May God be with Israel, especially if, or when, that happens.
