Fast & Furious fireworks

The Fast & Furious scandal heated up today on Capitol Hill with the questioning of a defiant Attorney General Eric Holder, or who Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Darrell Issa, accurately referred to as a "hostile witness," particularly with his usual stonewalling. Now watch in amazement at how slippery and pompous this guy is...

Holder: "[Lying] all has to do with your state of mind…"

Holder: "I don't know how many [guns] are still out there..."

Rep. Lungren: "You screwed up.  You ought to admit you screwed up. But you ought not to use your screw up as a basis for trying to extend your authority [gun control]."

(extended segment at the Right Scoop)

Holder: "Unfortunately, I think that [more people are going to die] is probably true."

Holder: "You need to understand something, the way Washington works here, ok?" (complete with Democrat chuckles)

As one would imagine, there were also some heated exchanges with Rep. Darrell Issa, but also an interesting one with Rep. Sandy Adams, among others.

Towards the end of the hearing, when pressed by Rep. Quayle, Holder also expressed that he has no intention of resigning (although 53 members of Congress beg to differ), nor does he have any intention of forcing out anyone else involved in this scandal. The height of arrogance.  And I've got to believe that Obama knew exactly what he was doing when installing this brazen disciple of subversion.

Just remember as Holder suggests that Fast & Furious guns will show up at crime scenes in the U.S. and Mexico for “years to come,” that the Obama administration will be accessories to murder for years to come. (h/t Weasel Zippers)
