TheBlaze: Former President Bill Clinton said President Barack Obama needs to honor his oft-repeated promise that Americans who like their health insurance plans can keep them under the Affordable Care Act.
“For young people who are in the individual market whose incomes are above 400 percent of poverty level, they were the ones who heard the promise, ‘If you like what you got, you can keep it,’” Clinton said in an interview with Carlos Watson, Founder and CEO of digital news site OZY.
However, it does not appear that the Obama White House has kept its promise. Indeed, as the error-riddled healthcare.gov website continues to confound both Washington officials and consumers, millions have received cancellation notices from their health insurance providers.
“I personally believe, even if it takes a change in the law, the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to those people and let them keep what they got,” Clinton said.
Before buying into anything this shuckster sells, consider that the Democratic fix will likely result in more subsidies to those affected...subsidies that the nation can't afford.
