Death Panels reach the VA first

This has been brewing for over a week now, but here's how yet another disgrace under this President has unfolded thus far just this week...
"So, in truth, when it comes to the VA, Obama hasn’t done anything. Not one head has rolled. Not one person’s been punished here, folks. Forty veterans died in what is, to many people, the modern embodiment of the death panel. You had 40 veterans on a special waiting list and the government workers that pared that list down got a bonus for making the list shorter. How’d the list get shorter? Fewer people on it. How’d that happen? They died."

"People on these lists assume that they’re being moved ahead of the line. That’s the purpose of the secret list, that they’re going to really be taken care of. Because the backlog is so jammed, the line for treatment at the VA is so long that they’ve come up with this secret list business, and the people on that list think that they’re essentially being moved to the top of the class, or the head of the line, in front of the line. And they’re just being ignored.

Now, over a hundred people, if you add the Dayton Daily News story today, over a hundred people have died while on these lists. It’s simply unconscionable. So you have to ask, the natural assumption is that nobody wants these people to die, even if you add the death panel component, nobody wants these people to die, yet they are. At the very least what we’re dealing with here is a total inability to deal with this. And at worst it’s the death panel being done on purpose.

But no matter how you come down on this, I mean, some of you are not gonna want to believe the death panel aspect, even though the evidence is pretty clear. When you have government employees receiving salary bonuses for ostensibly saving money by virtue of shrinking the number of people on the list, how does that happen? How do people end up off the list and not treated? They pass away. And if you’re gonna have government employees bonused on that basis, then you would be not that far out of whack to assume there might be some death panel at work here."

Supposedly, Obama's 'mad as hell,' but many would beg to differ, even some from CNN, particular since this promise has persisted as a rehashed campaign promise over and over again...

So you see, HE KNEW! And per the WashingtonTimes, as far back as 2008!
The Obama administration received clear notice more than five years ago that VA medical facilities were reporting inaccurate waiting times and experiencing scheduling failures that threatened to deny veterans timely health care — problems that have turned into a growing scandal.

Veterans Affairs officials warned the Obama-Biden transition team in the weeks after the 2008 presidential election that the department shouldn’t trust the wait times that its facilities were reporting.
Here...from the jackass's own mouth. Listen as Obama professes that 'the true test of our patriotism' lies in how we treat our veterans. In usual form, he attempts to place blame solely on his predecessor; yet, as we've witnessed, has made NO IMPROVEMENTS under his regime...quite the contrary (H/t: Grabien)...

"At a time when we're facing the largest homecoming since the Second World War, the true test of our patriotism is whether we will serve our returning heroes as well as they've served us.

We know that over the last eight years, we've already fallen short of meeting this test. We all learned about the deplorable conditions that were discovered at places like Fort Bragg and Walter Reed. We've all walked by a veteran whose home is now a cardboard box on a street corner in the richest nation on Earth. We've all heard about what it's like to navigate the broken bureaucracy of the VA - the impossibly long lines, or the repeated calls for help that get you nothing more than an answering machine. Just a few weeks ago, an 89-year-old World War II veteran from South Carolina told his family, "No matter what I apply for at the VA, they turn me down." The next day, he walked outside of an Outpatient Clinic in Greenville and took his own life.

How can we let this happen? How is that acceptable in the United States of America? The answer is, it's not. It's an outrage. And it's a betrayal -- a betrayal -- of the ideals that we ask our troops to risk their lives for.

But it doesn't have to be this way. Not in this country. Not if we decide that this time will be different."
...I think the 'mad as hell' designation would better suit the family members of those vets who died on these backlogs...

FoxNation: Two family members of victims of the alleged scandal enveloping the US Department of Veterans Affairs, Jo Darling and Sally Barnes Breen, discussed their tragic situations with Sean Hannity.

Breen, whose father-in-law, died of bladder cancer while awaiting treatment from a VA Hospital, was asked whether she had a message for President Barack Obama regarding her situation.

“If he called me tonight, I’d simply say ‘You’re a liar. I don’t trust you…’ I believe he’s a part of it as well,” she said.
But as Rush accurately stated, Obama's fury doesn't fix anything...

"There’s no reform, is there? None of this has ever been addressed or fixed. It doesn’t have to be, because all that has to happen is the low-information voters are told Obama is livid, how could this happen? And, boy, whoever didn’t tell him this was going on, their heads are gonna roll.

The thing to take away from this, I mean, if you want to treat this VA thing seriously, this is exactly where we’re all headed. This is what Obamacare’s gonna be for everybody. The VA is just one small bureaucracy. Veterans Administration, medical benefits, care, treatment and so forth for a finite number of Americans, veterans, they can’t even do that. Forty of them died on a special waiting list in Phoenix just waiting for an appointment for a doctor. This is where Obamacare’s headed. There isn’t any evidence to the contrary, in fact, anywhere, that any bureaucracy runs what it oversees or regulates any better than the people that actually know that business in the private sector run it. There’s no evidence of this ever. This is what’s so flummoxing about people’s requests or demands that government fix the problems they make, they create, they cause."
Levin also weighed in last evening:
On Monday's Mark Levin Show: Mark talks about the V.A. hospital problems and mocks President Obama who says that he's madder than hell over the revelations about some of the unacceptable healthcare being given to our Vets. Mark says that if Obama cared about the Vets, he would have been doing something about it since coming into office in his 1st term. Instead, we have the federal government who can't even run or handle the V.A. hospitals, and yet our politicians think that restructuring our whole entire health system into Obamacare will be beneficial. We are going to have waiting lists, reduced quality and lack of access to doctors or specialists, because that is what a socialized healthcare system does.
We're witness to yet another disgrace on Obama's watch. One that seems to have no end as more and more information is revealed. But just to make matter even more infuriating is what was done just last week in a matter of days. While we've got veterans literally dying on these VA wait lists, the Pentagon found it appropriate to fasttrack a convicted traitor's transfer from a military prison to a civilian one just to get transgender disorder treatment so he can live out his incarceration as a woman! Has this government gone mad, America?! You know the answer...

Rush explains Obama's #HashtagPolitics surrounding Boko Haram

Before you get wrapped up in #hashtag world, El Rushbo gives you all you need to know about the Obama administration's perspective on Boko Haram terrorists, the hostages and the Nigerian government (keep Egypt, Syria, and everywhere else that's gone wrong in mind)...
"Now the theory is that Boko Haram, they’re not the bad guys. The Nigerian government is, and the purpose of the hashtag is aimed at destabilizing the Nigerian government because they’re not properly appeasement-oriented toward Boko Haram or all of militant Islam."

"The Regime, Hillary, Michelle Obama sympathize with Boko Haram. They’re blaming the Christian Nigerian government for creating Boko Haram, and they want to get rid of the Nigerian government, because if you do that, if you appease the terror group by getting rid of the group you think is responsible for their existence, then you’ve made peace with them. You’ve made friends with them and they’ll leave us alone, or whatever convoluted thinking."

"Once again, Boko Haram are victims in their own way — victims of government oppression, victims of who knows what — and they’re reacting in the only way they know how. And we must appease these people because they’re nothing more than members of the oppressed around the world to whom the United States reaches out in solidarity. (interruption) “We gotta understand them.” Exactly.

We have to understand why Boko Haram’s mad. We have to understand their rage. Folks, I know that you’re probably not getting this take too many other places. You see the hashtag and Boko Haram is the bad guys and we’re doing everything we can. That’s the official US government position and the media position now, but that’s not the way it is. This story’s a great example of how a lot of people in the Drive-Bys are blaming the Christian government and the Nigerian military instead of the terrorists."

As for the hashtag campaign, "You don't even have to care, you just have to say you do." And that's liberalism in a nutshell.

New emails prove Dem. Sen. Carl Levin pressured IRS to target conservative groups

"This is a massive cover-up! This is a massive abuse of power!" ~ M.L.
From Benghazi to the IRS scandal, Judicial Watch reveals the truth yet again!
TRS: Judicial Watch has obtained more emails as it relates to the targeting of Tea Party and other conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status by the IRS. These emails reveal that the EOT (Exempt Organization Technical unit) in Washington DC directed the targeting of Tea Party groups and was coordinating between their Cincinnati office and their LA office.

The emails also reveal that Democrat Senator Carl Levin was also putting immense pressure on the IRS to target and shut down conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status.
And here's a perfect spot to segue into Mark Levin's comments...
"So they don't get their tax status prior to the election in November 2012. And you cannot tell me with a straight face that Carl Levin did not talk or communicate with the Obama campaign, the DNC, the Obama White House, that he was an independent actor. I won't believe it for a second! This guy should be dragged before a Grand Jury!"

Furthermore, Mark references a DailyCaller report that not only confirms Judicial Watch findings of the targeting being based in Washington, D.C., but more explicitly illustrates how Sen. Levin and the IRS were working together against these groups!

Speaker Boehner, still sure you want to take arresting Lois Lerner off the table? I thought you wanted to know 'who is going to jail?' Talk, talk, talk...it's time for ACTION!

Pope Francis should stick to doctrine & stay away from economic 'redistribution'

Remember when a Pope, a President and a Prime Minister strived for freedom and liberty? Yet another demerit for this Pontiff...
AP: Pope Francis called Friday for governments to redistribute wealth to the poor in a new spirit of generosity to help curb the "economy of exclusion" that is taking hold today.

Francis made the appeal during a speech to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the heads of major U.N. agencies who are meeting in Rome this week.

Latin America's first pope has frequently lashed out at the injustices of capitalism and the global economic system that excludes so much of humanity.

On Friday, Francis called for the United Nations to promote a "worldwide ethical mobilization" of solidarity with the poor in a new spirit of generosity.

He said a more equal form of economic progress can be had through "the legitimate redistribution of economic benefits by the state, as well as indispensable cooperation between the private sector and civil society."

Francis had a similar message to the World Economic Forum in January and in his apostolic exhortation "The Joy of the Gospel." That document, which denounced trickle-down economic theories as unproven and naive, provoked criticism in the U.S. that he was Marxist.
Uh, ya think?! You know, I've tried to give this Pope the benefit of the doubt, countless times, but no matter how much he denies being a Marxist, that all-too-often influence felt south of us seems to have unfortunately had a lasting influence on him.

(apologies for the MediaDoesn'tMatter clip, but this is the only one available)

I don't think you'll find much kickback against striving towards 'an indispensable cooperation between the private sector and civil society.' Christians often manifest this charitable calling, both through their Churches and individually. What Francis leaves absent is that such a notion should be made of our own volition, not of his, not of any government. And yet, in that same breath, he takes a message of statist redistribution to the outmoded, authoritarian-minded United Nations, and expects them not to lick their chops and slobber at the jowls over the notion of collectively trampling on the sovereignty of nations? I'm sorry, but this is anything but a message of joy or peace. Perhaps it's time to get back to the doctrine and stop playing politics...
FoxNews: Pope Francis has spent a year on the Throne of Peter. In that time, his modest style and high-minded ideals have ignited a new optimism and fervor among Roman Catholics, including those who left because of disagreements with some of its teachings.

Francis has gone out of his way to voice support for the world’s poorest citizens, rightly noting that their plight is too often ignored or brushed aside. Until this week, his statements have called for voluntary action by wealthier countries and individuals as the right way to relieve economic inequality. He appealed to our better selves, and in so doing, made us all ask if we could be kinder and more generous. The answer, of course, is yes.

On Friday, however, Francis chose a meeting with – of all people -- officials of the United Nations to endorse what he called “the legitimate redistribution of economic benefits by the state, as well as indispensable cooperation between the private sector and civil society.” ...

The pope is the head of the Church. He is the Vicar of Christ and is infallible on matters of doctrine.

When it comes to economics, however, Francis should stick to making suggestions for how to voluntarily reduce economic inequality and leave tax policy to the politicians. Perhaps he can help by offering a prayer for them. God knows, they need it.

Is Buffett the 'legal' version of Gosnell?

With $1.2 BILLION given towards the extermination of innocent life...I'd say so.
FoxNews: May 13, 2014, marks one year since Philadelphia abortion Dr. Kermit Gosnell was convicted of first-degree murder “in the deaths of three babies who were delivered alive and then killed with scissors at his grimy, ‘house of horrors’ clinic,” according to the Associated Press. Gosnell instantly became the face of abortion in the prolife community.

But there’s another, more recognizable face pushing abortion in the U.S. – liberal billionaire Warren Buffett. The so-called “Oracle of Omaha” has donated more than $1.2 billion to abortion organizations from 2001 to 2012.

That’s equal to the cost of roughly 2.7 million first-trimester abortions – more than twice the number of abortions that occur in an entire year in the United States. Unlike Gosnell, however, everything Buffett has done has been entirely legal. But Buffett does share something else in common with the abortionist. Both their stories have been largely unreported.

Imagine the equivalent of the lives of 2.7 million children snuffed out to serve the whims of the third richest man in the world. Most people would say that’s a story, most likely several.
Legal? Unfortunately, yes. Moral? Not even close. Civilized barbarism, folks.

Crony Chamber president Donohue threatens Republicans: If you don't do amnesty, don't bother running a candidate in 2016

Well, looks like the decrepit Tom Donohue let his true intentions slip out...the Chamber of Crony Capitalism apparently will withhold funding for the next Republican presidential candidate if the House doesn't pass amnesty...yes, yes, Daddy Warbucks! More and more, this guy proves to be a Soros in Republican clothing...
WSJ: Tom Donohue, president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, predicted that Congress would pass immigration legislation this year and said Republicans shouldn’t bother to field a presidential candidate in 2016 if they don’t.

His comments echo warnings from others, including high-profile Republicans, that the GOP cannot win if it does not improve its showing with the fast-growing Latino electorate, and cannot do that without approving an immigration package. The Senate passed a bipartisan bill last summer but it has languished in the GOP-controlled House ever since.

“If the Republicans don’t do it, they shouldn’t bother to run a candidate in 2016,” Mr. Donohue said at an event Monday on infrastructure issues. “Think about that. Think about who the voters are. I just did that to get everybody’s attention.” (His comments are at about the one hour mark on this C-Span video.)
To be precise, this specific segment of Donohue's babbling is located at 59:20 of the 'Economy and Infrastructure, CEO Panel.'

Sure, he just did that to get everybody's attention. Never mind that the Chamber funds many of these establishment Republicans (that'd be the same ones pushing for Jeb to run, Bloomy and Weepy included). But moreover, how exactly is flooding our population with poor, unskilled foreigners who hold no allegiance to our nation helpful to America, particularly with the vast amount of unemployed citizens? It's not. It's all political desperation, because for these defeatist crony types, it's easier to allow pandering to rule the day than to stand on the Framers' shoulders and take principled action to maintain the rule of law.

Oh, and thanks Mr. Donohue for handing over more red meat against Republicans to the leftist rags:
Why does this guy fund Republicans when it's apparent that he wants them to act like Democrats? Well, the answer to that is an age-old one: control. But what I was hinting more towards is that as much as this guy is certainly no conservative, it seems a bit of a stretch to even refer to him as a Republican.

Levin STRIKES BACK against attacks on the Tea Party by the GOP Establishment

Here's a broader explanation as to why I said in the previous post not to expect fellow Republicans from McConnell and McCain to Graham or Cochran to do anything about the lawlessness of the Obama regime...and it's the same reason they're fighting so hard against genuine conservatives throughout this primary season (via Levin)...
"These “Republican leaders” only want to be in the majority if they can control the people we send to Congress. Mitch McConnell does not want anymore Ted Cruzes or Mike Lees or anybody else who’s going to give him trouble. He wants Republicans who are going to lie down and do what he tells them to do.

John Boehner and Eric Cantor? Exactly the same thing. These people are not about empowering the American people, they’re about empowering themselves. They see a majority in the House and a majority in the Senate, not as an opportunity to serve the people but to server themselves.

This is why they attack! The conservatives who challenge them in primaries – even open primaries, this is why Rove pours the money in. He’s no great architect! He’s a svengali."

(H/t: tRS)
On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show: Mark goes after those who condemn the Tea Party and conservatism calling it dead. Should we surrender our liberty just because the Republican talking heads tell us that we can't win? Mark goes thru the history of the Tea Party, as well as Ronald Reagan's continuous fight to get the Republican Presidential nomination that led to the largest victory margin ever for a President and more. We have listened to the Republican Establishment in the past - they were the ones that hated Reagan, they were also the ones that made us lose the House in 2006 and lose with John McCain and Mitt Romney. There's a reason conservatives are being attacked right now - because they dare to challenge the elitists in office.

Ted Cruz's fourth report on Obama admin's lawlessness: 76 abuses of power and counting... (LEVIN ADDENDUM)

There ya go, Republican Party. Ted Cruz just did your homework for you...and for the fourth time, no less! But he's the problem? I don't think so...
TedCruzPressOffice: U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, today released his fourth report on the Obama Administration’s executive overreaches. In this report, Sen. Cruz documents 76 instances of lawlessness and other abuses of power.

“The pattern of lawlessness by this Administration should concern every citizen, regardless of party or ideology,” said Sen. Cruz. “Rule of law means that we are a nation ruled by laws, not men. No one—and especially not the president—is above the law. For that reason, the U.S. Constitution imposes on every president the express duty to ‘take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.’ Rather than honor this duty, President Obama has openly defied it by repeatedly suspending, delaying, and waiving portions of the laws that he is charged to enforce.”

Now, don't expect fellow Senators, from McConnell and McCain to Graham or Cochran, to want to do anything about it. In short, feckless. However, Levin gives us a broader explanation in the next post...

Mississippi: Now is the time for Chris McDaniel!

Matt Bevin is not the only conservative being targeted by the RINO establishment and their crony operatives and financiers for having the gall to challenge an entrenched incumbent (albeit, the Senate Minority Leader). While the Kentucky primary is rapidly approaching in just a few weeks, the Mississippi Republican primary on June 3rd has the potential to send an equal amount of shock waves throughout the D.C. establishment in the U.S. Senatorial race between 36-year incumbent Thad Cochran and MS Sen. Chris McDaniel.

Just google 'Chris McDaniel' and you'll undoubtedly discover attacks and slander, one after another, many fed from the GOP establishment to lib media outlets. But rather than dwell on their feeble attempts to opposition-research the guy to death with little-of-nothing assumptions and weak accusations, I thought it beneficial for my native brethren of Mississippi to get to know the statesman they should be replacing Thad 'not-so-gentlemanly' Cochran with...and what better way to start than with some EXCELLENT interviews, particularly since Cochran refuses to debate McDaniel (more on that later)...

Also, if we back up a bit, the Acton Institute asked Chris McDaniel 5 questions on Liberty last year...and the Mississippi Senator impresses with some exceptional responses. This is absolutely worth checking out!
5 Questions on Liberty with Mississippi State Senator Chris McDaniel
Along with endorsements from Levin, Ingraham, Palin and other conservative individuals, Club for Growth, Senate Conservatives Fund and Madison Project have thrown their weight behind McDaniel's election, with the first two organizations launching ads on MS television and radio. While the Club points to Cochran's 'five decades' of wrong choices, SCF focuses on 'our fight' for the Constitution and against Big Government tyranny alongside McDaniel...

Sticking to contrasts, The Washington Times wrote an interesting piece in March about what they called "a classic struggle between the established Republican order and grassroots Tea Party Republicans," that sets up a pretty interesting dichotomy...
Mr. Cochran is a senator most people have never heard of, but his colleagues in the U.S. Senate know him very well. He’s the No. 1 pig farmer in Congress, dispensing pork from the Republican side of the aisle with firmness and gusto. With Ted Stevens of Alaska having departed this vale of tears, he has no rival in manipulating the national treasury. He’s an advocate only for more spending to get the tax revenues a congressional pig farmer needs to spread the pork to his friends and interests. Ten federal buildings in Mississippi are named for him, and none of them are monuments to smaller, less-intrusive government.

The senator’s nemesis is Christopher McDaniel, 43, a lawyer, radio talker and Tea Party favorite. He has pulled dead even in some polls with the June 1 Republican primary only two months away. He is best known as a talker on several Mississippi radio stations, but has the requisite legal background to command professional respect. He clerked for a federal district judge fresh out of the University of Mississippi Law School, and the Mississippi Business Journal ranks him among the state’s top 50 lawyers. He has pushed the right buttons, a member of, among others, the Gideons (distributor of Bibles), the National Rifle Association, the American Family Association, giving him the trifecta of God, guns and family values.

Such stark contrasts should present an unquestionable choice for my fellow Mississippians. After all, it's within those precise contrasts that Cochran fears debating McDaniel (see, told you I'd return to this!)...
"Voters are entitled to a debate between the major candidates for the United States Senate, and it’s sad that Mississippi’s senior Senator has chosen instead to hide behind his handlers and avoid the tough questions. Mississippi deserves better.” ~ Chris Chocola, Club for Growth President

(Radio ad here)
Breitbart: Six-term incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) told the Associated Press that he won’t debate his primary challenger, state senator Chris McDaniel, because McDaniel is “trying to make me look bad by things he's saying about my performance in the Senate.”

"I don't know what there is to debate," Cochran told the Associated Press in late April in Batesville, MS – a comment first reported by the AP on May 2. "He obviously is going to criticize my record of service. We disagree on some of the issues. And there are probably some things that we can agree on. But he's obviously, you know, trying to make me look bad by things he's saying about my performance in the Senate.”
No, Senator, you're doing that all on your own! So, what's there to debate? Hmm, Cochran's record of debt limit increases, bailouts, tax hikes and pay raises for starters. Secondly, the fact that Cochran’s refusal to debate a Republican primary challenger should make Mississippi voters question whether he can even stand up to Democrats in Washington.
"It is beyond comprehension that a man who claims to serve the people does not think he owes them a debate as he asks for what would be his 7th term in the U.S. Senate,” McDaniel said. “If Thad Cochran won't stand up to try to defend his liberal voting record in a debate with a two-term Mississippi state senator, what makes us think he'll stand up to Harry Reid and Barack Obama?”
He hasn't...and he won't. But you've hopefully figured that out by now.

If you have any other questions about McDaniel or Cochran, I'd highly refer readers to peruse an excellent source called Mississippi Conservative Daily! (Huge hat tip to them!) And it's only fitting that I end my pitch for this conservative candidate with a quote by this Pro-Constitution, Pro-Liberty, Pro-Life, Pro-McDaniel publication, on behalf of my many friends and family members who've called Mississippi 'home' for generations:
We need a Senator we can be proud of, one who will stand for our conservative values and will not buckle under the pressure of the special interest machine in Washington. We need Chris McDaniel, a proven conservative who will fight for what he believes and won’t embarrass us by turning his back on the people to feather his own nest and those of his Washington friends.
NOW IS THE TIME, Mississippi! If there's one vote you cast on June 3rd, make certain it's Chris McDaniel For U.S. Senate!
