Corker, Flake, McCain join Dem Senators in authorizing Syria strike

A mere 10 Senators just authorized Obama's Syrian war...including three RINOs...
WaPo: The Senate Foreign Relations Committee voted Wednesday to approve a resolution authorizing U.S. military action against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Final tally: 10 to 7, with one senator voting present.

Who voted yes?: Committee Chairman Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) and Sens. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) (by proxy — was absent due to the Jewish holiday), Benjamin Cardin (D-Md.), Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), Christopher Coons (D-Del.), Richard Durbin (D-Ill.), Tim Kaine (D-Va.). Ranking member Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) and Sens. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.).

Who voted no?: Sens. Tom Udall (D-N.M.), Christopher Murphy (D-Conn.), James Risch (R-Idaho), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.)
Of course, McRINOs one of the 'yes' votes...what a disgrace, Arizona.
TheRightScoop: Warmonger McCain is such a pain in the butt of America. He wouldn’t vote for the resolution unless it ensured “that any U.S. military operations in Syria are part of a broader strategy to change the momentum on the battlefield in Syria.” He wants the US to ensure that the Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist groups, wins the civil war and takes power in Syria. So he got his way and now the resolution has passed committee.

We have no business interfering in this civil war, much less trying to help terrorists win. And if our troops end up on the ground in Syria, it will be McCain’s fault, among others.
FoxNews: President Obama cleared his first hurdle on Wednesday in his push for a military strike in Syria, as a key Senate panel voted to authorize the use of force.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee voted 10-7, with one senator voting present, to approve a military strike in response to a deadly chemical weapons attack last month. The full Senate is expected to vote on the measure next week.

The vote came after Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., raised objections to an earlier draft. The objections forced lawmakers to renegotiate the measure; McCain ultimately won tougher language clarifying that U.S. policy would be aimed at changing the momentum on the ground. He was among the 10 who voted for the final resolution, after getting two amendments added.
Right, momentum in favor of his Muslim Bros! 'Allahu Akbar!' Right, Johnny? What a moron.

ADDENDUM: Doesn't look like the House is going for it...
ABCNews: The ABC News political unit has put together a “whip count” of how members of the U.S. House of Representatives are likely to vote on the Syria resolution with assistance from the BBC Washington bureau. The count is based on public statements, interviews with aides, and reporting — it could change. ABC News will continue to update this list as new information becomes available.
OPPOSE MILITARY ACTION IN SYRIA: 63
LIKELY TO OPPOSE: 136
SUPPORT MILITARY ACTION IN SYRIA: 20
LIKELY TO SUPPORT: 24
UNDECIDED: 154
UNKNOWN: 36
However, WeaselZippers put this tally in perspective: "In other words, this thing has zero chance of passing the House. I wouldn’t be surprised if it passes the Senate and Obama attacks before the House has a chance to vote against it."
