CNN: U.S. President Barack Obama pledged $7 billion Sunday to help combat frequent power blackouts in sub-Saharan Africa.Huh. And here I was thinking we're in trillion dollar debt. Silly me. Oh, and that should read 'redistributed over the next five years' to be accurate. Speaking of accuracy, the Global Citizen is proving D'Souza's theory every day.
Funds from the initiative, dubbed Power Africa, will be distributed over the next five years. Obama made the announcement during his trip to South Africa, the continent's biggest economy.
ADDENDUM: All that money to combat power blackouts, but then he doesn't want to allow every African to own a car, air conditioning or a 'big house' (which means something larger than his brother's hut!). Oh, the conflicting views of Barry Obama...
