The cave on tax hikes for the 'evil rich' (UPDATE)

So, as Obama's running his latest campaign-style video to push his plan to raise taxes on those evil rich people...

...what he's not telling people is that this tax hike will crush small businesses and it only funds the government for a mere 8 days!

No matter, Boehner and the boys are getting scared, so now there's talk of a 'Doomsday Plan', in which House Republicans would allow a vote on extending the Bush tax cuts for the middle class, and would vote 'present', allowing it to pass entirely on Democratic votes (as if that washes Republican hands clean). Now, while the deal doesn't offer the President anything more (i.e., no extension of the debt ceiling, nothing on unemployment, nothing on closing loopholes), the class warfare component of this tax deal is really the main thing Obama was after all along...enough to be willing to go over the cliff if he didn't get them.

That's showing him, John Boy.

Dupe.

UPDATE: House Republicans made a counter-offer to Obama’s fiscal cliff proposal that doesn't increase the tax rate on high-income earners...to which he swiftly rejected, of course. Obama deemed the offer "not serious enough to merit a counter-proposal." The king of 'not-serious-enough' should know.

Behold, the hardest working man in Washington.
