While discussing Breitbart's report of the 'secret criteria list' to purge conservatives from committee assignments, Levin had enough, stopping himself in midstream of reading and unloading on the Speaker...
"I've had enough of this crap! This is a member of Congress being treated like crap by the Speaker of the House! Who the hell does the Speaker of the House think he is?! This man was elected by his constituents, American citizens in his congressional district. He's voting the way he pledged to vote for the constituents in those districts. Who the hell does John Boehner think he is?! He's so desperate for these four votes that he punishes these men like this? Pelosi does this stuff; the old Soviet Union, they did this stuff! This man, Boehner, his ego is massive; his ego's way out of control. He views his role, ladies and gentlemen, to crush the tea party, to crush conservatives. He is selling out our children right now with these massive tax increases, and that's his starting bid!"
After elaborating on Boehner's possible motives, Levin says, "Let me put it this way: Tell me one damn thing John Boehner has done since he's become Speaker to stop Obama, on anything, one? Well, I can't."
Folks, Boehner will capitulate; he'll cave to Obama on this fiscal cliff fiasco, as he and the GOP leadership have on previous matters during their two year tenure. Watch for it as Christmas nears.
Never mind that the body the Speaker presides over, the House, controls the purse strings...and that's 1/2 of 1/3 of the government that Republicans control! No, he can't risk looking bad in the eyes of a media that despises him regardless of what he does...no, they matter more than the conservative base he's pissing off. How masochistic! Boehner truly has become the Bob Michel of our times...only difference is this feckless guy actually made his way to the freakin' Speakership! We're all crying, John.
