Uncovering the connections

I wrote a piece at the beginning of the week exploring this rule by executive fiat mentality that’s running rampant throughout the Obama Administration. Well, light appears to be shedding on both the Gibson raid and today’s AT&T/T-Mobile blocked merger, and what we’ve witnessed is nothing short of a blatant misuse of the Department of Justice for personal backscratching and over-the-line meddling in private business affairs.

Landmark Report, via Breitbart's Big Government, reveals the true nature of the harassment and punishment being inflicted on Gibson:

One of Gibson’s leading competitors is C.F. Martin & Company. The C.E.O., Chris Martin IV, is a long-time Democratic supporter, with $35,400 in contributions to Democratic candidates and the DNC over the past couple of elections (though, to be fair, he did donate a whopping $750 to Republican Congressmen in the 90s.) According to C.F. Martin’s catalog, several of their guitars contain “East Indian Rosewood.” In case you were wondering, that is the exact same wood in at least ten of Gibson’s guitars.

When you aren’t a donor, supporter or subsidiary of the Obama Administration, yet you’re an American staple, you will nonetheless be targeted.

In the case of the DOJ suit against the AT&T/T-Mobile merger, RedState has uncovered a tale of two men with connections to Obama, a donor and a former transition team member, who are tied to Sprint/Clearwire and simply don’t want their biggest competitor to compete against them. Enter Big Government:

The time has now come for Clearwire’s 4G competition to be expanded further, as AT&T seeks to get ahold of T-Mobile’s spectrum, to allow it to roll out 4G wireless to over 95% of Americans. So naturally, the Obama DoJ is seeking to stop that from happening.

Yes, it’s really this simple. Private industry, if you’re not willing to genuflect to the Statist-in-Chief and his new government model, reminiscent of some past planks, WATCH OUT!
