Romney condemns embassy attacks

This morning, Romney addressed the embassy attacks in Egypt and Libya, condemning them as 'outrageous' and 'disgusting', as well as criticizing that pitifully apologetic statement that was allowed to be released by the embassy in Cairo...

"It's never too early for the United States government to condemn attacks on Americans and to defend our values. The White House distanced itself last night from the statement, saying it wasn't cleared by Washington. That reflects the mixed signals they're sending to the world. The attacks in Libya and Egypt underscore that the world remains a dangerous place, and that American leadership is still sorely needed. In the face of this violence, America cannot shrink from the responsibility to lead. American leadership is necessary to insure that events in the region don't spin out of control. We cannot hesitate to use our influence in the region, to support those who share our values and our interests."

You got that right...on all accounts.

Romney really handled these biased press idiots impressively. What they, as well as the administration, choose to ignore is that appeasement only encourages this kind of barbarism. These Islamist will use any and every excuse to attack Americans, period. And perhaps the scarier thing is they all know this! Also, on a grander scale as pertains to this so-called Arab Spring, it goes back to basics: you can't put the cart before the horse (i.e., democracy before a civil society)...it just doesn't work.

ADDENDUM I: And about the biased press...TheRightScoop reports that unnamed mainstream media journalists were caught on a live mic coordinating hostile questions for Mitt Romney before his press conference today on the U.S. embassy attacks. Thank you, Scoop for exposing these media hacks!

ADDENDUM II: Quin Hillyer expands on what Levin calls Romney's 'finest hour'...

Mitt Romney was right to blast the living bleep out of Barack Obama for the Cairo Embassy's apology to the crazed crowds in Egypt. The apology was perfectly in keeping with the entire tenor of this administration from Day One.

Worse, reports are that even with the anniversary of 9/11 coming up, Obama had not attended his daily intelligence briefiing for the whole week leading up to the attacks.

Today, Obama criticized those who killed our personnel in Libya, but made no mention of the goons who scaled our embassy walls in egypt. Nor did he say a word in defense of free speech.

More later -- but for now, let's just let this be clear: Obama is a pathetic excuse for a president, and he has populated his administration with leftists who excuse and sometimes even defend terrorists while blaming America first. Disgusting.

But Romney shouldn't stop there...now it's time for one of those excellent Reaganesque ads!
