The United States has roughly 3 million more part-time positions today than at the start of the economic meltdown, according to the Federal Reserve. Over that same period, the job growth touted by Obama has left the country with 3 million fewer full-time jobs.
More than 7 million people remain stuck in part-time positions because they can’t find a job with a full work week. An additional 2 million people have essentially given up hope and dropped out of the labor force.
Of course, they attempt to hide as much as possible from the public's view with their beholden mediaites, but sometimes the facts are just too blatantly obvious to ignore, like the realities of a part-time America stuck in low gear, despite the facade of numbers.
CP: While people celebrate the fact that America's unemployment rate has fallen below six percent for the first time since 2008, some economic experts say not so fast and point out the discrepancy between the unemployment rate and the number of unemployed persons.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics data released its unemployment summary for the month of September on Friday and found that the country's overall unemployment rate decreased by 0.2 percentage points to 5.9 percent, the lowest the rate has been since July of 2008. Additionally, employers added approximately 248,000 jobs in the month.
American Enterprise Institute resident scholar in economic studies Aparna Mathur told The Christian Post that in order to better judge the progress of the American economy, analysts need to look at the U-6 unemployment rate. Mathur said the U-6 rate provides better measures that takes into account people that have dropped out of the labor force due to discouragement. The U-6 rate finds that the unemployment for the month of September is really double the BLS figure at around 11.8 percent. ...
Both Mathur and Brookings Institute senior fellow in economic studies Gary Burtless agree that it is important to note that the the total labor force decreased at a faster rate than the number of persons holding a job increased. While the total unemployment rate fell by 0.2 percent, the number of unemployed persons fell by nearly 1.9 percent in September. ...
Although the Obama administration has somewhat benefited from a slow improvement to the unemployment rate, Mathur said that it is not because of any policies that the administration has implemented. She said that if policies had been implemented to address the labor market, the nation's economic growth would occur much faster.
But that would also rely on Obamanomics actually improving the lives of average Americans, unleashing the free market; however, we know by now that such a liberating goal is antithetical to the masterminds' stranglehold over us.

Half of the people who live in states won by Obama see his tenure negatively, as do 59 percent of those aged 25-44 years old. ...
The slide in approval of the president seems to be primarily driven by concern over his economic record. While three in four Americans say they place a "high importance" on the economy and jobs when evaluating candidates, just 31 percent say Obama is doing a good job at growing the economy.
Don't misunderstand, though. While receiving negatives on the economy, Obama's policies of fundamentally transforming America into something it was never meant to be, along with the liberal/progressive movements encouraged by him, have had detrimental successes.

The news comes along with word that the first Ebola patient diagnosed in the U.S., Liberian national Thomas Eric Duncan, died this morning at a Dallas hospital.
Particularly when we hear from Border Patrol agents that they're catching Liberian illegals crossing from Mexico, and have been for months!

The "Mystery Illness" has sent hundreds of children to hospitals from coast to coast, spreading to nearly every state and identified as the cause for at least four deaths. Some researchers are already calling this outbreak the Polio for our era.
The Centers for Disease Control have identified 594 cases in 43 states and the District of Columbia since August, but authorities say there are likely many more cases that have not been diagnosed. The virus is especially sneaky because it presents as a cold or the flu.
But the worst cases develop from a mere runny nose or aches and pains to serious headaches, neck pain, respiratory difficulties and then paralysis in some. ...
One issue about this virus, though, seems to be left out of the investigation: where it is coming from.
Viruses like this are much more common in Central and South America, and by some accounts it seems likely that the tens of thousands of illegal aliens that swamped our southern border may have brought the virus with them. A study in the Virology Journal in 2013 found a connection between Enterovirus and Latin America.
Dr. Jane Orient, executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, has also raised the question.

'We don't know where it's coming from... Are there immigrants from Central America, where this disease has allegedly been prevalent before? Should we be [looking at] the virus to see whether it's like what's been found in some of these countries that are just sending waves of children across our border and they haven't been quarantined long enough to make sure they're not sick?'
But I'm sure Dr. Fauci would dismiss all of this as unnecessary or false dissemination of information and overall fear-mongering, while Van Jones would follow suit by blaming Ted Cruz or something. Obama...he'd just hit the road for another fundraiser...well, that or the golf links.
They obviously don't see the same threat we do. I mean, not only aren't they prohibiting flights from these infected areas. No, they're going one step further and deploying our most honorable there! And the Defense Department has admitted that our troops sent to Liberia will 'come in contact' with Ebola-infected individuals...

Don't be fooled, folks. State sovereignty has once again been trampled by the Federal Leviathan. The Supreme Court hasn't left the issue of same-sex marriage up to the states...it's nationalized it to the lower federal courts embedded within each state. Thus, oligarchs are still redefining morality...
CNN: The Supreme Court announced Monday it is staying out of the same-sex marriage debate -- at least for now -- rejecting requests from five states to immediately review their bans that prohibit gay and lesbian couples from civil wedlock.
The rejected appeals originated from same-sex couples in Utah, Oklahoma, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Indiana.
With Monday's order, lower appeals court rulings striking down the bans could soon be enforced in those five states. That also means bans in all the other states covered by the three circuit appeals courts would also be invalidated. Those states include West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kansas, Colorado, and Wyoming. Same-sex marriage would then be permitted in 30 states.
The announcement signals the high court is taking a go-slow approach to the controversial social issue still percolating in the lower courts.
No doubt the defenders will continue making comparisons to the civil rights struggle or interracial marriage, but in those instances, they're missing the basis of human equality and biology, respectively. When in this behavioral debate, imagined and unequal privileges becomes the new 'equal rights' in the eyes of the courts, despite being overwhelmingly voted down by the WILL OF THE PEOPLE from each of these state in recognition of a moral authority. What the federal courts are allowing is for SIN to prevail, and taking the path of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Here's a personal motto that I find myself repeating often these days:

Look who's sounding more presidential in the protection of our citizenry than the actual President, yet again...
Politico: Following reports that someone infected with Ebola has turned up in his home state of Texas, Sen. Ted Cruz on Thursday asked the Federal Aviation Administration to “take every available precaution in preventing additional cases from arriving in the United States.”
The FAA so far has responded to concerns about Ebola by saying it is working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which is taking the lead on responding to the threat.
“Due to the Obama administration’s unclear approach to addressing the threat of the Ebola virus, Americans — particularly the Texans who have possibly been exposed — deserve specific answers to how the administration is addressing travel to and from the countries impacted by the disease,” Cruz said in a statement that accompanied the letter.
In his letter, the Republican senator requests answers to a litany of questions, including what kind of training air crews receive that would help them recognize someone infected with Ebola, the extent to which the FAA intends to act to limit or suspend flights, the notification rights of passengers who may have shared a plane with an Ebola sufferer, and any projections of how many additional people infected with Ebola could arrive in the United States via air.
Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) also chimed in Thursday evening, saying it’s “appropriate to review our policies for travel to and from the countries most affected by the Ebola outbreak.”
Peculiar how this administration can make the call to ban flights to Israel for a few wayward missiles lobbed towards the Jewish nation, but when it comes to preventing a pandemic, oh, now we've gotta be politically sensitive? And this passes for reason?
Common sense. And this should be as apparent as keeping illegals out and securing our border for some of the same reasons (i.e., Enterovirus D68, anyone?), among a litany of others, including basic law and order. Of course, common sense is something highly lacking in this President, this administration, and Washington, D.C. in general, right now.
It seems as though Obama wants it ALL (disease, illegals, Islam, utter dependency & despair) to come ashore as his fundamental transformation of America from a first world country to second, then third, then collapse of our civil society. We've had it too good for too long, the Left says. Incompetency and lawlessness is a disastrous cocktail for our nation, folks. This never needs to happen again, yet we're on track for it with the segregated caucuses of the Democratic Party riling up the masses, the current Imperial President hellbent on selective anti-colonialist tendencies (contradictions much?), a disaster of a First Lady/Senator/Secretary of State in-waiting to be the First Female President, likely followed by an unknown as of yet First Hispanic President from Democratic offerings, not to forget their unelected, unAmerican implants throughout the administration, and that's bookended by a neutered opposition that's supposed to be the alternative.
The only true alternative to avoid such a rudderless direction lies in a statesman like the one above, if not this very individual. Will America be ready, or does it have to get worse first? That's the question that remains.

PoliticalWire: Former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta blames the White House for much of the current chaos in Iraq in his new memoir, Worthy Fights: A Memoir of Leadership in War and Peace.
Panetta writes that "our side viewed the White House as so eager to rid itself of Iraq that it was willing to withdraw rather than lock in arrangements that would preserve our influence and interests."

No doubt the failure of that effort to reach a new status-of-forces agreement (SOFA) fit within his political goals. Obama wanted to be able to claim that he’d achieved his promise of withdrawing all troops from Iraq, a major theme of his 2012 re-election campaign; in fact, he sounded offended during one of the debates when Mitt Romney suggested that Obama had actually wanted a new SOFA.
“What I would not have done,” Obama declared in October 2012, “is left 10,000 troops in Iraq that would tie us down — that certainly would not help us.” And that was the party line until the ISIS onslaught of the summer, when Obama tried rewriting history in mid-June:
Panetta’s memoir sets this record straight once and for all. Obama might have tolerated a SOFA if it was handed to him on a silver platter (making what he said in October 2012 a flat-out lie), but wasn’t going to lift a finger to get it (making his June 2014 statement untrue as well).
This isn’t a new revelation from Panetta, however. A week before Obama went on 60 Minutes to claim that the ISIS surprise was caused by the intelligence community underestimating the threat, Panetta preceded him on 60 Minutes to discuss the withdrawal from Iraq. Panetta told Scott Pelley that it was a mistake, and he knew it at the time, but that Obama was determined to abandon Iraq:
Panetta also says that Obama ignored the advice of his national-security team in regard to Syria as well. In the same show, Panetta also warned that it would take a very long time to defeat ISIS, and that the American public isn’t being warned sufficiently of the time and resources it will take.
Of course, Obama would rather fault intelligence than accept blame for yet another debacle of his own creation (or neglect).

Previously, Levin had Michael Ledeen on with some breaking news, that in 2008, before elected as president, Obama sent an emissary to Tehran to let them know that he would be elected as president and that he would be a friend to Iran to make things 'right'.

FreeBeacon: Talk show host Montel Williams urged President Obama to “make the call” to Mexican President Enrique Nieto to release imprisoned Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
“It is, right now, 11:05, if this hearing’s gonna stop in the next 10 minutes, I think the president needs to pick up the phone in 15,” Williams said. “Make the call, make the call today.”
Williams, who served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, revealed that his outspoken involvement in Sgt. Tahmoressi’s case came from recent personal communications with Tahmooressi’s mother.
“I have a daughter right now who has been going through cancer treatments for a year,” Williams said. “This woman, since June, has sent a prayer to my family every day, for my daughter.”
Williams said that if President Obama was unable to make the call, the Committee should issue a joint statement directly to President Nieto.
“The world’s watching,” Williams said. “It’s time for you to act.”

TheBlaze: Ed Royce (R-Calif.) said he made a breakthrough in a talk last week with Mexican authorities about Tahmooressi, who has been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
“Last week I had a good and productive conversation with the Mexican Attorney General and am confident that a humanitarian release of Andrew will occur very soon so he can start getting better,” Royce said at the start of a House hearing on the matter Wednesday.
At the hearing, Rep. Matt Salmon (R-Ariz.) added that Mexico’s Attorney General has told lawmakers that Tahmooressi can be released once Mexico receives proof of Tahmooressi’s medical condition. Salmon said lawmakers just sent medical information about Tahmooressi to Mexico, which is why they hope he may soon be able to return home.
What Rep. Salmon continued to press is particularly noteworthy:
“I am mystified that President Obama couldn’t find time, between negotiating with terrorists, to call our ally, the Mexican president, to appeal to him on behalf of our Marine,” Salmon said at the hearing.
“The fact is that Mexican citizens violate U.S. law on a regular and continuing basis, illegally crossing our southern border,” Salmon added. “Mexican officials respond by asking the U.S. for compassion and amnesty for their citizens to remain in the U.S. But frankly, compassion goes both ways.”
And the White House line is telling to say the least:
“We respect the rule of law and expect the judicial process of sovereign nations to protect other U.S. citizens who might find themselves in similar circumstances in the future,” the White House said. “We will continue to monitor the case and work with the Mexican authorities as this case proceeds through the Mexican judicial system.”
Give me a freakin' break! Respect the 'rule of law'...for other lands! Certainly not this one.

NBCDFW: A person who arrived in Dallas from Liberia a week ago tested positive for Ebola Tuesday, becoming the first person diagnosed in the U.S. with the potentially deadly virus, the City of Dallas confirmed.
The patient was hospitalized and placed in isolation at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Sunday after symptoms appeared four days earlier, on Sept. 24. Hospital officials listed him in serious condition Wednesday after previously being listed in critical condition.
Because the patient showed no symptoms of the virus when he arrived in the U.S. Sept. 20, there was no risk to fellow airline passengers, according to CDC Director Dr. Thomas Frieden.
"We’ve stopped every Ebola outbreak that’s ever occurred in Africa expect for this one," he said. And this one could have been stopped if we had gotten in there earlier.
The CDC will ensure that the patient will be treated in a way that minimizes the risk of spreading infection, Frieden said. He also said a team is in Dallas to identify anyone the patient might have infected and monitor them for 21 days.

NBCDFW: A hospital official said the man who tested positive for Ebola appeared at a Dallas hospital complaining of illness but was released before returning later as his condition worsened.
Dr. Edward Goodman, epidemiologist at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, said the man first arrived at the hospital late Thursday or early Friday.
Goodman said during a news conference Tuesday that it wasn't until the man reappeared Sunday that they discovered that he had been in West Africa. The virus has killed more than 3,000 people across West Africa and infected a handful of Americans who have traveled there.

NYTimes: Mr. Duncan may have become infected after his landlord’s daughter fell gravely ill. On Sept 15, Mr. Duncan helped his landlord and his landlord’s son carry the stricken woman to the hospital, his neighbors and the woman’s parents said. She died the next day.
Soon, the landlord’s son also became ill, and he died on Wednesday in an ambulance on the way to the hospital. Two other residents in the neighborhood who may have had contact with the woman have also died. Their bodies were collected on Wednesday as well.
Health officials in Dallas said Wednesday that they believed Mr. Duncan came in contact with at least 12 to 18 people when he was experiencing symptoms. So far, none has been confirmed infected.
The five children, who possibly had contact with Mr. Duncan at a home over the weekend, attended four different schools, which authorities said would remain open. As a precaution, they said all the schools — including one high school, one middle school, and two elementary schools — would undergo a thorough cleaning.

CNN: Health officials are reaching out to as many as 100 people who may have had contact with the first Ebola patient diagnosed in the U.S., a spokeswoman with the Texas Department of State Health Services said Thursday.
These are people who are still being questioned because they may have crossed paths with the patient either at the hospital, at his apartment complex or in the community.
"Out of an abundance of caution, we're starting with this very wide net, including people who have had even brief encounters with the patient or the patient's home," spokeswoman Carrie Williams said. "The number will drop as we focus in on those whose contact may represent a potential risk of infection."
The number of direct contacts who have been identified and are being monitored right now is "more than 12," a federal official told CNN on Thursday.

DallasNews: The Obama administration is initiating a program to give refugee status to some young people from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador in response to the influx of unaccompanied minors arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Under the program, immigrants from those countries who are lawfully in the United States will be able to request that child relatives still in those three countries be resettled in the United States as refugees. The program would establish in-country processing to screen the young people to determine if they qualify to join relatives in the U.S.
As for health screenings, don't count on it. Luckily it's limited to 4000 refugee slots, but still a misuse of the terms and conditions...and risk. Politics over health, though (same experience with Obamacare).

CNN: Samples collected from four patients who recently died have tested positive for enterovirus D68, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
It is unclear what role the virus played in their deaths. In fact, it's possible that enterovirus had nothing to do with them. The virus is very common, especially in the late summer and early fall, with the CDC estimating 10 million to 15 million infections each year in the United States.
Yet the deaths do raise an alarm because this year has been worse than some other years, since enterovirus D68 has been sending more children than usual to the hospital with severe respiratory illnesses. It seems to be most affecting children with a history of asthma or breathing problems.
As of Wednesday, the CDC had confirmed 500 people in 42 states have respiratory illnesses caused by enterovirus D68.

Until recently the occurrence of EV-D68 was rare in the United States. Between 1970 and 2005 only 26 clinical isolates of EV-D68 were reported in the USA. Over the years, clusters have been reported in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona and various countries.
Hundreds of children in Missouri and several other states have already been hospitalized because of Enterovirus EV-D68.
