A FULL Supreme Court again!

Back to 9 justices before such a crucial election!

The Senate confirmed Barrett this evening as the newest justice on the highest court in the land!
The Republican-held Senate on Monday evening voted to confirm Amy Coney Barrett as the newest justice to the Supreme Court, giving President Trump his third appointment to the high court just a week before the Nov. 3 election.

Barrett, 48, will be sworn in by Justice Clarence Thomas at the White House. She will be the fifth female justice in the court’s history. ...

Barrett, previously a judge on the US Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, is a favorite among religious conservatives and will be the seventh Catholic on the nine-person court.

All Republicans except Sen. Susan Collins of Maine voted in favor of Barrett and all Democrats opposed her in the 52-48 vote.

The Indiana resident is the first mother on the court with minor children. Her seven children — four girls and three boys — range from age 8 to 19. Two of her children were adopted from Haiti.

Barrett will begin hearing cases immediately, with the next scheduled oral arguments on Nov. 2.
The White House swearing-in ceremony was promptly held at 9pm Eastern, with Barrett being sworn in by the stalwart Justice Clarence Thomas!

...this appointment of Barrett is something many of us have been waiting on for a very long time. This is a huge moment in the our lives and the history of the Supreme Court, because her confirmation clinches a so-called conservative majority on the Supreme Court, a majority that will hopefully one day overturn Roe v Wade and abolish the ruling that has allowed for the legal murder of unborn babies for close to 50 years. That day can’t come soon enough.

I can’t end this post without recognizing the fact that it was President Trump who nominated Amy Coney Barrett and kept his promise from 2016 to nominate non-activist Supreme Court justices, and he has not disappointed. If Roe v Wade ever does get overturned and abortion law goes back to the states it will be the legacy of this president, Donald J. Trump. That day can’t come quick enough.

Until then, we celebrate Justice Amy Coney Barrett and President Trump for nominating her, as well as Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans for confirming her before the election.
AMEN! Simply historic.
ALMIGHTY God, who sittest in the throne judging right; We humbly beseech thee to bless the courts of justice and the magistrates in all this land; and give unto them the spirit of wisdom and understanding, that they may discern the truth and impartially administer the law in the fear of thee alone; through him who shall come to be our judge, thy Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
