Islamism, not a video, is at the heart of these attacks

Time to face reality, America. These barbaric actions taking place in the Islamic World, as they're now spreading to Sudan, Morocco and Tunisia, aren't occurring because of some ameteur youtube video. As we've seen time and time again, these small insignificant granules are used as excuses for savagery. I also contend, once again, that it's no coincidence these embassy attacks began on 9/11. A poorly produced video didn't take the U.S. ambassador to Libya from a man embracing the purported democracy movement...



...to the images we've seen of his body paraded through the streets by the very people he was attempting to help 'achieve their goals'...is this their goals?!

And Hillary & Barack can act as though the Libyans helped the ambassador all they want, but not only is that hard to swallow, particularly with those images, but it's also hard to believe when Libyan security forces betrayed Ambassador Stevens by telling the Islamist protesters where to find him...the same damn security forces Obama helped put into power!

CBS/AP: Wanis al-Sharef, a Libyan Interior Ministry official in Benghazi, said the four Americans were killed when the angry mob, which gathered to protest a U.S.-made film that ridicules Islam's Prophet Muhammad, fired guns and burned down the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

He said Stevens, 52, and other officials were moved to a second building - deemed safer - after the initial wave of protests at the consulate compound. According to al-Sharef, members of the Libyan security team seem to have indicated to the protesters the building to which the American officials had been relocated, and that building then came under attack.

So when Hillary Clinton questions, "How could this happen? How could this happen in a country we helped liberate? In a city we helped save from destruction?", the answer becomes clear: Islamism.

ADDENDUM: Claire from New Mexico, a Rush caller, is spot on: If the Obama administration is so concerned about not hurting the feelings of Muslims, then why are they constantly spiking the ball about killing bin Laden? They aren't mad about a youtube video, they're mad that Obama killed Osama!



And remember, the Democrats also wanted to take credit for Gaddafi (see Part 2). You don't hear these protesters shouting about a video, they're shouting at Obama! And no amount of appeasement is going to quinch their desire for vengeance.

Former Lt. Col., now Congressman Allen West gets it:

"Less than 24 hours after our nation remembered the heinous attacks of September 11, 2001, Americans find their sovereign soil attacked again as more American lives are lost at the hands of intolerant, barbaric, radical Muslims.

Even more concerning, is the initial response to these attacks last night from the embassy officials of the Obama Administration was to apologize for a Facebook video that supposedly hurt Muslim feelings. President Obama’s policy of appeasement towards the Islamic world has manifested itself into a specter of unconscionable hatred.

How anyone can believe this President is strong on national security and foreign policy is beyond my comprehension. President Obama has clearly surpassed former President Jimmy Carter and his actions during the Iranian Embassy crisis as the weakest and most ineffective person to ever occupy the White House"

Palin gets it:

"It’s about time our president stood up for America and condemned these Islamic extremists. I realize there must be a lot on his mind these days – what with our economy’s abysmal jobless numbers and Moody’s new warning about yet another downgrade to our nation’s credit rating due to the current administration’s failure to come up with a credible deficit reduction plan. And, of course, he has a busy schedule – with all those rounds of golf, softball interviews with the “Pimp with the Limp,” and fundraising dinners with his corporate cronies. But our nation’s security should be of utmost importance to our Commander-in-chief. America can’t afford any more “leading from behind” in such a dangerous world. We already know that President Obama likes to “speak softly” to our enemies. If he doesn’t have a “big stick” to carry, maybe it’s time for him to grow one."

Mitt Romney gets it, as evident through his superb press conference this morning.

But Obama, Democrats and the mainstream American media...not so much.
