More disgusting info from Libya/Egypt attacks

While the brunt of the mainstream media and the administration (but I repeat myself) continue to focus on the excuses, more horrific info is being divulged about the attack on our consulate in Libya.

First, another of the four U.S. victims has been identified as a former Navy Seal...

FoxNews: Glen Doherty, a former Navy SEAL from Massachusetts, was one of the victims of the deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, a family friend confirmed to Fox News.

Doherty is the latest victim to be identified. The U.S. government earlier confirmed that U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and Sean Smith, a foreign service information management officer, died in the attack.

The name of the fourth American who died in the attack has not been disclosed.

And as if the deaths of these four Americans couldn't sicken us any more, along with finding out last night that it took 12 hours to recover the ambassador's body, there's now multiple reports coming out from translations of Lebanese media that Ambassador Stevens may have been raped before he was murdered...disgusting barbarism.



But no, some wingnut ameteur filmmaker or a fruity preacher in Florida is to blame. Riiight...

And here's a stinger: Marine blogs are saying that the U.S. embassy in Egypt did not authorize service members to even carry live ammo!

FreeBeacon: U.S. Marines defending the American embassy in Egypt were not permitted by the State Department to carry live ammunition, limiting their ability to respond to attacks like those this week on the U.S. consulate in Cairo.

Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson “did not permit U.S. Marine guards to carry live ammunition,” according to multiple reports on U.S. Marine Corps blogs spotted by Nightwatch. “She neutralized any U.S. military capability that was dedicated to preserve her life and protect the US Embassy.”

So, at least in Egypt, where all the chaos began two days ago, this could have been, to use a favored Islamist term, decapitated. What a disastrous failure.

But no worries, after having a 'tough day' yesterday, the One hit the campaign trail to Vegas, and then continued campaigning in Colorado today. He'll get back to the Islamic World blowing up in a little while...afterall, he doesn't need briefing. Baffling.
