“Obama's worldview: He sees everything, each and every situation there is, in the oppressed and the oppressor. And he is the one who will fix it.” ~ Doug Urbanski
Touted as the film the White House doesn't want you to see, and the story the media refuses to tell, it seems as though one summer documentary is beginning to gain some traction (jumping nearly 300% at the weekend box office!) among interested viewers as we approach the season's end. I ventured to the theater about a week ago to see it, so I've had some time to reflect on its content and more thoroughly connect the dots. What movie, you ask? 2016: Obama's America.
2016 is a documentary produced by Gerald R. Molen ("Schindler’s List," "Jurassic Park," "Minority Report") based on Dinesh D'Souza's book "The Roots of Obama's Rage;" however, the film has also spawned an accompanying book of its own simply entitled "Obama's America."
Earlier this year, D'Souza debuted a teaser and gave us a glimpse of the movie's primary focus at CPAC 2012...
Breitbart: Traditional liberals, D’Souza explained, only want to redistribute wealth within America. Obama, he says, wants to redistribute America’s power among smaller nations throughout the world.
Why? D’Souza explained that Obama is literally trying to fulfill the title of his book, “Dreams from My Father.” Obama’s father, who was Kenyan, viewed the world from an anti-Colonial perspective. Molen says Obama now wants to use his power as the American president to rid the world of colonialism … starting with downsizing the very power of the U.S.A.
D’Souza explained the premise further:
"What is this anti-colonialism? It is, in fact, the most powerful ideology in Asia, in Africa, in South America, in the past 100 years. If you want to know why there’s anti-Americanism around the world, it’s not just because of Islamic radicalism - that would help to explain it in the Middle East. It’s anti-colonialism."
"The anti-colonial ideology very simply says that the world is divided into the oppressors and the oppressed. There is the West, now led by America. Then there are the poor people of Asia, Africa, and South America. The anti-colonial ideology is that the rich countries got rich by invading, occupying, and looting the poor countries. The anti-colonial ideology says that to fight against all of this, you have to put a leash on the rogue elephant that is now America. It also says that there are concentrations of economic power: The banks, the insurance companies, the oil companies - this is the economic wing of colonialism. And what you have to do to fight this is to use the power of the state to control it."
I'd encourage EVERYONE to go experience this MUST-SEE film. D'Souza has done an extraordinary job of researching and informing the viewer as to exactly who Barack Obama Jr. is. Devoid of various conspiracy theories about our current President, D'Souza puts the assorted fact-based pieces of the puzzle together to create a profile that points directly to the fulfillment of his father's radically foreign 'dreams'. Though many knew very little about the man elected in 2008 to inhabit the highest office in the land, aside from the hype and slogans, you will absolutely take away more knowledge about who Obama is after seeing this unique film, gaining a larger understanding of not just his foreign & domestic policies or his decision-making processes, but perhaps more importantly his internal philosophy that dictates those decisions and policies. And that has been a knowledge that the Left, to this very day, have attempted to distract away from. This film says emphatically, 'No More!' As the documentary concludes, "Love him. Hate him. Now you know him." It's time for all of America to know him.
ADDENDUM: I ran across a thorough review from Thomas Sowell published this evening that I think is definitely worth checking out!
Also interesting to note from a few days back is an incident that perhaps gives us more insight into both the character of the President AND the documentarian, particularly towards Obama's remarks at that National Prayer Breakfast where he mentioned, “living by the principle that we are our brother’s keeper.” Guess who turned out to be more of a brother to George Obama? Here's a hint: It wasn't Barack.
And to top things off, Hollywood is stumped by the film's rapid momentum and far-reaching success! Rush reports on Wednesday...
