This is great! Here's the call on NYT's Jeff Zeleny, whose biggest claim to fame, as Ed Morrissey of HotAir reminds us, "was asking Barack Obama the hard-hitting question, “What has … enchanted you the most from serving in this office?”"
This kind of media minutiae exemplifies just how badly they wish he'd go away, so Romney would be annointed as our McCain 2.0, but Santorum keeps handing it right back at 'em. He further unapologetically explained his comments on Fox & Friends (while making a stronger case for his own candidacy)...
I'd have to agree with Morrissey's conclusion as well: "Seriously, though, what a great way to end the first half of the primary season for Santorum. He got a big win in Louisiana on Saturday, and then an opportunity to pull a Newt Gingrich to fire up the base as the ten-day recess starts. That won’t hurt Santorum at all as he aims at Wisconsin’s April 3rd primary..."
Instead of buying in to media (and Romney) distractions, perhaps we should pay closer attention to the 800-pound 'jackass' in the room: governmental overreach and societal breakdown stemming from Democratic statism and a mindset like Obama's.
