WT: Apparently neither lawsuits nor indictments can stop the Center for Medical Progress from releasing anti-Planned Parenthood videos. Here's the new video from CMP exposing Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast Director of Research, Melissa Farrell, explaining how she hides their sales of aborted baby parts through accounting gimmicks...
The pro-life group displayed its chutzpah Wednesday by posting a 12th hidden-camera video accusing Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast of using “accounting gimmicks” to “hide its illegal sale of fetal tissue.”
Hours later, Center for Medical Progress investigator Sandra Merritt appeared before a judge in Harris County District Court on charges stemming from her involvement in the probe of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast. She posted bond after it was reduced from $10,000 to $2,000.
Afterward, attorney Dan Cogdell blasted what he described as an overzealous prosecution.
“The indictment is wrong-headed,” Mr. Cogdell said, according to The Associated Press in Houston. “I don’t care if you’re pro-life. I don’t care if you’re pro-choice. This case is dumber than a bucket of hair.”

CMP: A new video at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast and newly-released documents from a Texas Public Information Act request show how Planned Parenthood used accounting gimmicks to hide its illegal sale of fetal tissue.David Daleiden posts bail today...
The video highlights previously overlooked footage from the April 9, 2015 site visit of investigative journalists David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt from The Center for Medical Progress to Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast’s abortion center in Houston. The site visit took place with PPGC Director of Research Melissa Farrell, who has overseen the organization’s fetal tissue supply program since 2006. ...
The video also includes footage of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast CEO Melaney Linton advising that Farrell will “work on all of that with you” when it comes to “remuneration” and “compensation” for fetal tissue. Farrell told Daleiden and Merritt during lunch that her department “contributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here.”
The system of accounting gimmicks and dual invoicing for “consent” payments in place of fetal specimens that Melissa Farrell describes in the video bears a striking resemblance to invoices submitted by Farrell on behalf of PPGC to the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2010 and 2011. ...
The sale, offer to sell, or transfer of human fetal tissue for valuable consideration is a crime under Texas Penal Code 48.02. Planned Parenthood is currently under investigation by the Texas Attorney General’s Office, the Texas Department of Health, and the U.S. Congress for violations relating to its treatment of aborted infants and aborted body parts sales.
“The evidence that Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast charged exorbitant amounts of taxpayer money in exchange for fetal specimens that it provided at nearly zero cost is overwhelming,” notes David Daleiden, CMP Project Lead. “Governor Abbott and Attorney General Paxton need to send a strong message that Houston’s children are not for sale, and they must immediately appoint a special prosecutor to hold Planned Parenthood accountable to the law.”
LifeNews: Pro-life advocate David Daleiden will post bail on Thursday in response to what his attorneys and pro-life groups say are bogus charges related to his undercover investigation and exposure of the Planned Parenthood abortion business selling the body parts of aborted babies.LORD, watch over and protect these heroes for LIFE, and help us to bring an end to this modern day holocaust.
A Texas grand jury indicted David Daleiden and another pro-life activist, Sandra Merritt, behind the videos. Instead of prosecuting Planned Parenthood for selling aborted baby parts, Daleiden was indicted for buying them.
Daleiden and Merritt were charged with one felony related to tampering with a governmental record and a misdemeanor count related to buying human tissue. The felony charge was in reference to the use of a fake ID. If convicted, Daleiden faces 20 years in prison while Planned Parenthood officials face no legal consequences for their actions.
Daleiden, Founder of the Center for Medical Progress, will post bail in Harris County, Texas on Thursday.
Alexandra Snyder, a pro-life attorney from the Life legal Defense Foundation, is with Daleiden in Houston and she explained the charges Daleiden faces and said the charges are politicized in nature and trumped up because he exposed the nation’s biggest abortion business as opposed to something more politically correct.
“If David’s investigation had revealed evidence of criminal conduct in a meatpacking plant, his freedom would not be threatened,” she told LifeNews.com. The videos would be seen as providing a valuable public benefit and prosecutors would act on the information.”
“We are confident that other agencies will take an objective look at Planned Parenthood’s willingness to engage in illegal activity, including altering the abortion procedure to obtain intact fetal cadavers, that is clearly evident in the videos. In the meantime, we will do everything we can to defend David from these baseless charges,” she added.
