Who bugged McConnell's office? (UPDATE)

DISCLAIMER: This is NOT a defense of Mitch McConnell...he still needs to be DEFEATED, preferably by a CONSERVATIVE, not with corrupt Democratic shenanigans.

Oh, boy...a Watergate redux...
theRightScoop: Apparently leaving a recording device unattended and hidden in a room is illegal, and McConnell is pursuing a criminal investigation over today’s recording that has been leaked to Mother Jones.

Where's the liberal outrage? Oh wait, they're celebrating this, as seen from the display above. But how about some legal perspective...
TheLid: There is nothing wrong with "secret camera" journalism such as what Veratas and other's like them do. This however is over the line extreme....bugging the campaign offices of the minority leader of the senate. That is a federal crime which brings back memories of Watergate.
As this is an ongoing investingation, the 'whodunit?' is still up for grabs...but Mother Jones fingerprints are all over it for now.

UPDATE: Looks like a group called Progress Kentucky are behind the recording of McConnell's office.
Breitbart: A new report identifies two founders of Progress Kentucky as the parties responsible for recording a February 2nd strategy meeting at Senator McConnell's campaign office that was later published by Mother Jones.
Democratic operatives...but the party itself is escaping blame.

Btw, here's who the miscreants of Progress Kentucky are.
